LSU hands down. Saints are the talk of the state now, but LSU will rule the roost again in September.

that means nothing on a statewide basis....and the Saints historical attendance pales compared to LSU's.

the poster is right that the Saints picked up a lot of fans this year.

LSU. There is a lot of overlap but large portions of the state have tons of Cowboys, Texans, or Titans (old Oilers) fans.

nationwide, definitely LSU. Having lived on both coasts it's damn near impossible to find good Saints groups to watch games with at bars. Meanwhile LSU routinely draws 200+ people to bars for games.

Yes, that is true. Tell me the last time the Saints had over 20,000 of their fans go to a place like Seattle for a regular season game. Planes from all over the country were filled with LSU fans that made that trip.

Kcarp, I get it. You are a die hard Saints fan. But why are you trying to pit the two(Saints Lsu) against each other. This is the only thing I don't understand about die hard saints fans. Full disclosure, I am a huge Saints fan and have been since early 90's but my Allegiance is with LSU

LSU fans. When a player signs to play with LSU, they will be with the team until they either graduate or go the NFL (exception the Perriloux's of the world). With a professional team, a player may only be with a team for one year and then they go to the highest bidder the next year. It is hard to identify with so many free agents. This is especially true after a team wins the Super bowl.

plus, a much lower % of pro players are actually from the region of the team they play for. Additionally, many live elsewhere in the offseason.

and the obvious that LSU has been around for 60+ years longer.
