What a wonderful day it is. Take away any thoughts of the opponent. Three national title appearances in less than a decade. Twelve straight recruiting classes have played for a national title at LSU.

At one point in my life I was elated for LSU to play in the Independence Bowl.

I just really can't wrap my mind around this program, all that has been accomplished in such a relatively short time.

I'm almost moved to at the magnitude of what has happened to our school.

I just wish my dad was still here to see all of this.

Easily your best post ever.

I'd like to add to your euphoria, the prospects for next years team, and then the years after that. We are about to explode.

I wish ALL of the Dads that raised us to be LSU TIGERS could share this moment.

I know how you feel. I have several relatives and friends who were avid Tiger fans who would have greatly enjoyed the Tiger’s recent good fortune but for their untimely passing. As much fun as the past decade has been it would have been immeasurably more so if they had been around to share it. Geaux Tigers!

This should give every Tiger fan a chubby.

We're making the BCSCG a year early, by most estimations.

Yeah, we were too young, we didn't have a QB, our schedule was too tough, especially with most big games on the road, our coach would probably screw something up, we had to play Oregon with all that speed, and we had to play Nick Saban's vaunted Crimson Tide.

I'm so glad i can still share this w/ my dad. He took me to see Billy Cannon in 1959 and i was forever hooked on LSU. Then after waiting forever for a NC shot, my daughter goes to LSU and in her freshman year we win the NC--she got the fever from me but she thinks this is all routine.

These are the GLORY DAYS--enjoy tiger nation.

We had moved back to La in the spring of '57, and started going to the games in '58. I was spoiled by that, and was expecting it to go on forever. My Dad has passed, but his legacy has been passed on to his children, grand children, and great grand children. Thanks Dad. ps, Dad's favorite player was Scooter Purvis.

I said last year that this tears team would contend for the NC if the QB situation settled and got better. I think the staff figured how to work around it. Next year should be another banner year.

I just really think the reason there is so much bitching is because most of the bitchers never said Geaux Tigers once before 2003.

If they had lived through the Sol Graves, Chad Loup, pre-senior season Jamie Howard days they wouldn't bitch about quarterback play.

AMEN.

Nick Saban Conversation in 2001:
"Coach, How you doing?"
"I'd be doing a lot better with a Quarterback."

It was for days like this when I was a student at LSU, that I stayed in that stadium...October 9, 1993....LSU 3 - Florida 58...I swore I would watch every miserable moment so that I never forgot how that time was, so that the success in the future would be that much sweeter. Well, how sweet it is!

This has been and I believe will continue to be a special run, which will continue for years to come with Miles at the helm.

That Florida game was bad. Freaking Bama in 96 UAB in 2000

The worst was Auburn in 94. I think that game probably took a good seven years off my dad's life.

Freaking Jamie Howard killed my dad seven years early.

Man, that is an accomplishment.

Yes, a lot of us 60+ geezers who suffered through the Hallman years have zero patience for the a-hole "Lee isn't treated fair" crowd. I hope they all go to hell in an Amway meeting. Malcontent MF's.

These are the glory days, it has never been better than it is today and will be January 9th.

I do hate fans.

During my formative years I was ridiculed for sticking with the Tigers through all those losing seasons. Now those same people who ridiculed me are constantly talking about LSU on their facebook pages.

It's freaking aggravating. They shouldn't be able to have my team.
