re: Who would win between a Saban coached LSU team and a Saban coached Bama team? - ForeverLSU16 on 10/12/17 at 10:46 pm
Gonna have to go with Da Bears and Ditka....Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)
re: 10 Years Ago Today: #9 Florida @ #1 LSU - ForeverLSU16 on 10/6/17 at 11:02 am
I was asked by a former student and his dad if I wanted to go to the game...I jumped at the chance. We made the trip from Austin...had a great time tailgating and walking my former student (a Gator fan) around campus. He was Tiger-baited by grandma and grandpas, four year old girls and sorority ...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)
re: This is about more than a football coach. Our school is sick. - ForeverLSU16 on 10/1/17 at 1:06 pm
I am so glad this is becoming more publicly discussed or recognized as opposed to the conversations by tailgates before games. Spend time with any professor who has been invested in the university for a while and they have been watching this general sickness growing over the last decade. It is...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)
re: Reflecting the Coach or Leader - ForeverLSU16 on 9/17/17 at 3:42 pm
Yeah, I agree that he will be around for at least another year...and what is unfortunate for him, is he will really take all of this very personally, but should not have been put in this position in the first place....Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)
Reflecting the Coach or Leader - ForeverLSU16 on 9/17/17 at 3:27 pm
Any organization or team reflects its leadership. No amount of the best coordinators or vice-presidents can replace or cover up the influence of the person at the top. Saban's teams reflect Saban...tough minded and smart. Miles' teams reflected him...tough and committed, but a bit goofy and one...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (1)

re: History lesson on 90s football? - ForeverLSU16 on 12/6/16 at 11:35 pm
Practice...to answer the challenge... The kicking practice was careless. No one truly worked on anything concerning technique or situations. It was just lazy walking around with a few hits of the ball here and there. The other parts of practice were uninspired and listening to the instructio...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)
re: History lesson on 90s football? - ForeverLSU16 on 12/6/16 at 7:57 pm
I had friends on the team that asked me to go out and punt, because I played soccer. At that time the punter was Chad Kessler. He had come in as a big time recruit, but was underperforming big time. So, I went out to practice...that was all I needed to see. It was a mess. It was so obvious wh...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (3)
re: LSU - Leadership and Vision at Every Level - ForeverLSU16 on 12/4/16 at 2:39 pm
Alabama is not in the top ten in undergraduate enrollment: 1. UCF 2. Liberty 3. Texas A&M 4. Ohio State 5. Arizona State 6. FIU 7. Penn State 8. U Texas 9. Michigan State 10. Indiana ...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (1)
re: Spread or Pro - what would you rather see LSU run? - ForeverLSU16 on 12/4/16 at 2:35 pm
I do not understand why in the modern age of football, and with the talent we are able to recruit, why we cannot find an offensive coordinator that is committed to blending and using aspects of both. There are so many creative things possible on the offensive side of the ball. That being sai...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (1)
re: LSU - Leadership and Vision at Every Level - ForeverLSU16 on 12/4/16 at 2:30 pm
The idea that we can build academic success and university success off of athletic success is exactly what Alabama is doing. We need a new visionary leader like Emmert to infuse the demand and direction to build the university back. ...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (2)
re: LSU - Leadership and Vision at Every Level - ForeverLSU16 on 12/4/16 at 1:54 pm
Well, that number is OK...would love to see it much higher at this point. I would also love to see an honest evaluation of all of the state supported schools in Louisiana and whether they are viable......Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)
LSU - Leadership and Vision at Every Level - ForeverLSU16 on 12/4/16 at 1:44 pm
A friend and I were talking the other day about our concerns for the overall leadership at every level at LSU. His daughter who is a very good student here in Austin, took a tour along with him and was not impressed due to the primary selling points not being about the schooling but athletics a...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (11)
re: Request: Photos of the Quad before Middleton Library - ForeverLSU16 on 11/2/16 at 8:23 pm
I have never seen these photos or designs! Wow, the cross layout and the picture of the student in the opening are really cool. I have always thought Middleton was a crap hole from the 70's...I really hope they get things right....Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)
re: Possible Game Change Scenario - ForeverLSU16 on 10/13/16 at 12:53 pm
[quote]Give LSU the loss and pay UF eleventy billion dollars. Then hold auditions for America's got talent in Tiger stadium on the day of the South Alabama game, thus canceling that game. If the Gumps drop a game between now and before LSU plays them, have LSU play the Patriots as a part of the SEC ...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)
re: Anyone been to Secrets, Maroma Beach? - ForeverLSU16 on 2/22/16 at 10:57 am
My wife and I went to Secrets Capri first and just this November went to Secrets Maroma. We enjoyed Capri, but Maroma is a step up. We do not go often, but in talking with others at the resort who were frequent resort hoppers, they all seemed to conclude Maroma was the best all-inclusive they ...

re: Johnny Jones just got roasted on Memphis radio - ForeverLSU16 on 12/17/15 at 8:56 am
The writing was on the wall last year during the NC State game. It was so obvious that our team was out coached, and as it unfolded, if one could not see that, you were not watching. This is the singular factor that the fan base sees again and again in football and basketball. Getting out...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (1)
re: At least John Brady's teams played D - ForeverLSU16 on 12/15/15 at 2:28 pm
I have not seen all of the games, but as a coach, if we are not stopping dribble penetration and playing poor individual man defense, go to a zone. It just seems that fundamental parts of the game are just lacking on both ends of the court...and that has been the story for several years. W...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)
