"I can't imagine that would stop. With the positive outcome we just had it would be foolish to do it any other way."

I have been encouraged by everything I've seen in the last 4 days. Doing something different and having Cam coach from the field is a good sign that Les Miles is willing to change. Add the home run of hiring of Aranda and the news of Divinity recommitting and this has been the best week for an LSU football fan in a long time.

Close the deal on signing day and a top 10 preseason ranking for 2016 is very likely.

ETA: The reports that Miles and Cam are going to visit other coaches about spread offense concepts is also something we have not seen Miles do. Something's up, and I like it.

I like him down on the field. I think we start the 16' in the top 10.

As much optimism and excitement all of that brings, next year boils down to how consistent Harris can be throwing the ball over the middle.

The only reason Cam was on the sideline was because Harris requested it. Kinda ridiculous that that was the reason why he was down there. Should have been down on the sideline since he got here.

But I'm thankful it finally happened. And pumped about the Aranda hire.

Future is looking up

I guess I missed it. Cam was on the field for the bowl game?

his reason was he wasn't allowed to get still shots on the sideline like you can in the pros, so he preferred the booth to see the entire field. Of course now the pro's have tablets you can use to review plays.

First I've heard of this, where is that coming from?

Harris obviously responds better through struggles with Cam down there. I think we will see improved play this way. Again, you have Cam at your back all week and then on game-day he's absent when you want to ask a question or need a reminder that you're throwing away your mechanics. It simply adds a confidence boost because he's the guy you're used to seeing and talk to all week during practice.

An OC not being on the sideline is far from ridiculous. In fact, it's very, very common.

Lay will finish top 3 next year. I see one possible loss. This team will be special.

Ur gonna have to come with some facts on that one buddy. NFL OC's are mostly on the sidelines. 75 to 25 in college.

Having the coach on the field is crucial for the coincidence of a lot of these kids. Been saying this forever.

Is this an NCAA rule? I ask because West Monroe has a big screen TV with a live feed of the game and they can pull every play on demand on the sidelines. It's an app and an iPhone. Does the NCAA not allow this technology?

I'm enjoying it enough not to care how long it's taken. It's been such a sigh of relief that I'm willing to forgive that if it all works the way we hope.

A) I'm as excited as anyone about the DC hire and the upcoming recruiting classes. There is much to be excited about.

B) The offense isn't changing. Cam on the sidelines had far less to do with our success than the awful defense we lined up against. As for the Miles comment about visiting spread schools, how gullible are you? Miles threw that bait out there and you are lapping it up hook, line, and sinker.
