I'm not mad at all. I love the DC hire. Maybe we now we can beat Bama 9-6 again, seeing as we haven't scored more than 17 points on Bama in 6 tries.

An OC not being on the sideline is far from ridiculous. In fact, it's very, very common.

Saban has his OC AND DC on the field with him. Sounds like a good move to me.

Miles will figure anything out and has shown that he will try new thinngs over and over. Look for it its there. U dont survive in this league long-term unless u are willing to change. Its like anything else in life.

Cam has spent his career in the box and im sure was reluctant to change, wouldnt u be? The fact that Miles is secure enough to allow Harris' request to be public knowledge tells u alot about the man. He just wants to win, period. Who gets the credit is of zero importance to the man.
Yes he is limited in a few facets but when u add up the entire package, theres alot to be proud of.
Its easy to sit here and point out what shouldve been done sooner.
Some of u should have bosses that constantly say "u shouldve done this sooner or but if only u had done it this way" even when u do something right! And scold u like a yard dog when u do make the occasional mistake. And after u outproduce every one in your region except one, be told well theres 7-8 guys that could've done what youve done. Youre holding us back, u better get it together or we are going to terminate you even after 11 years of making us wealthy.
Most of u have very little clue of the egos hes managing and dealing with from his coaches players and now this ridiculous Administration. The pressure hes under on the recruiting trail and the scoreboard competing against the best the game has to offer.
Its a relentless "what have u done lately" gig. One slipup and youre done and raise 4 kids .
So far hes handled it all with complete class and dignity. Who has done this in this league without losing their cool a few times? Ever? There's a reason why Miles is the longest continued tenured coach in the SEC. It aint luck after 11 years.

First I've heard of this, where is that coming from?

The Advocate had a report about it last week or the week before.

The only reason Cam was on the sideline was because Harris requested it.

Ok where did that come from? Can you provide a link, haven't seen that anywhere.

Let's not forget, it was TT, the worst team playing Highschool football in Houston

Let's not forget that "worst team playing high school football in Houston" beat Arkansas. You know the same team that beat the crap out of LSU at home at night!!!!!!!! And just beat the crap out of KSU tonight!!!!

I guess that blows your little theory right out the window

People that are saying Cam being on the sideline doesn't make a difference must not pay very much attention to games. Plays were getting called in faster and there weren't any of those plays where you're yelling for them to hurry up and snap the ball. I think that was the cause for most of our confusion on offense. The players being set without having to hurry to get everyone the play, get lined up, and get the ball snapped takes a lot of pressure off of them. It was a very noticeable change for the better.

I can see where battling cancer might not allow you to stand for 4 hours out there. Just a hunch though, never went through it, but the family members that have had zero energy.

In the Advocate article, Les or Cam said that they had discussed the move earlier in the year, but that Cam was hesitant to do it, mentioning specifically his bout with prostate cancer. I immediately thought that his illness--and the treatment--must have been more serious than they let on back in August. If that's the case, then I have even more respect for Cam and the job he did this year. (And please, no snide remarks about the well-documented problems with the offense. Just appreciate the man's professionalism.)

Count me in the number excited about our defense next year but not getting excited about next years offense. Looked like the same offense to me with an end around (terribly defended) mixed in. We dont get to face that terrible of a defense most weeks next year.
But we should be ok with our defense to win Les typical 9-10 games

Is this an NCAA rule? I ask because West Monroe has a big screen TV with a live feed of the game and they can pull every play on demand on the sidelines. It's an app and an iPhone. Does the NCAA not allow this technology?

You can't use that in college or the pros

Even the tablets the pros use are only allowed to show the still shots of the plays, live or recorded video feed isn't allowed
