A few understand, I see.

The rest of you need to watch actual football games, preferably in person.

a little bit exaggerated but not completely false. There was a lot of circus catches made by incredible athletes.

I was just about to post this. The term "desperation" was a bit much. But there is a lot of truth to his statement

What was wrong with Les' play calling during Mett's last year? He can only call what his players are capable of executing.

Or this year for that matter. Harris could not complete a pass down the stretch. He was given plenty of opportunities. Of course you can blame coaches for the QB being in the game in the first place, but you have to be able to rely on your players.

Haven't kept up... "dual threat" QB, correct?

Listed as one and is a good athlete, but he is more of a 6'6" pocket passer.

He rarely, if ever, looks to run first.

Sidenote: He is also their kicker and is pretty good at it too.

This is very apparent to anyone with eyes.

To be fair to the "3rd down" guy, we did lead the nation in 3rd down conversion % in 2013. It was also the highest in LSU history I believe.

There were a TON of drives saved by Mett throwing to Landry/Odell and them making a great catch in traffic.

But we were also 113th in 3rd down attempts, so its not like we had a shite ton of 3rd downs all year. We were just really, really historically good at them.

yep. gotta have someone explain clock stoppage, timeout utilization, that those are just yellow towels and not 67 penalty flags in the endzone, and someone to hold his hand when he mouths "i dont know what to do"

And everyone says 2013 was the year the defense cost us. Well we were 15th (3rd in SEC) in total defense and 21st (4th in SEC) in scoring defense. Much better than Steele.

Go back and watch some of the Baltimore offense when Cameron coached there. Looks eerily familiar to the crap we do now, with the exception of throwing to the tight end. Running 2 wides and just sending them on go routes is boring, and unsuccessful football. Nearly every pass we throw like that is a contested ball. We have the athletes if we get them in space we could have a much more prolific offense.

FIFY and I agree with everything else you said.

Where are our TE and RB passes? That Guice/LF combo was awesome with LF going down the middle and Guice going out wide. Where the frick has that been?

Sounds like there is as much of a chance of Franks coming as Jimbo.

The early play calling against aTm was better and creative. It got back to the same ole same ole when Harris couldn't hit the broad side of a barn with a shotgun.

Granted, its the OC's job to develop the QB and Harris isn't being developed. However, Les may realize Franks has what it takes to succeed and will keep CC to get him. Its a risky move to say the least.

was thinking the same thing...He wanted to go to LSU, spoke him myself when I interviewed at Calvary and was talking to him about Baseball, he said it was the offense that he didnt like...said alot of recruits were thinking the same thing, he said alot of people want to go there and alot of people like miles but are turned off by the offense, and have been for a while. it continues to be our Achilles heel...

Les is going to lose whatever support he still has if he keeps his entire staff intact. BDP and Cam definitely gottageaux. I wouldn't shed any tears over Steele and whomever we have coaching the DBs.

What a hack piece! That isn't even true. Franks decommitted while LSU was 7-0 and Miles was not in any jeopardy of losing his job (at least publicly).

How can they do that.

LSU is not allowed to fire any coaches so Les' balls just grew another two sizes.
