With the Miles clause in the contract, no great OC will come here. I will take Cam all day if Miles let's him run the offensive style he wants and not tamper with it in practice during the week. You will not find a more knowledgeable coordinator at LSU right now with a miles clause than Cameron.

I wouldnt have a problem with Cam staying, if Cam runs the offense.

Well-put.

Instead of "Three yards and a cloud of dust"

Alleva was forced to say "Three losses and we're proud of Les."

Did you even watch the last 4 games? The play calling was absolutely not the issue.

How is Cam's health? he might want to be QB coach and they bring in an OC?

Neither of the Mannings started as freshmen. So, who is this Franks kid?

If Cam is fired, that means CLM will have had 5 OC's in his 11 years at LSU. The problem is not the OC. Do not forget, Jimbo left as OC for exactly the same reason: CLM would not let him call his game plan.

see here is the problem. Franks saw what our Offense looked like with Cam. He saw the lack of development from BH. Obviously he is a different player and person but he has to take that into consideration. "How is it really going to be different if I am there".

Can't expect anything different from Les.

Has Miles or Cameron recruited AND developed a QB worthy of the NFL?

In fairness, Cam just wrapped up his 3rd season. Opportunity to do so hasn't really existed, as of yet.

Under Miles, the track record isn't there though.

Then you have a fundamental misunderstanding of where our offensive problems come from

The quality and depth of our QBs will dictate our success on offense just like in the past

Harvey Williams said Cam told his son to throw every pass as hard as he can. Explains a lot.

Is it not obvious that Cam was limited by his QB the past couple seasons?

If only we had a coach on staff to develop the QB's...

It's a little bit exaggerated but not completely false. There was a lot of circus catches made by incredible athletes.

The lack of football knowledge is this thread is stunning, but given the failure that is The Rant, not surprising.

Coaches coach, players execute.

Just look at the past game, note the plays that were called and see if you can determine the problem.

I would much rather get rid of Cameron and try to bring in the Mike Locksley/Dwayne Haskins or the dream Mark Richt/Jacob Eason combos. Hell, get rid of Cameron and try to go after Shea Patterson one more time

Do you not understand what has happened around here the last few days?

Miles and the pumpers won. Alleva got his nuts cut off. Miles has free rein to do it his way. He is now a cult figure who is bigger than the program.

I am not saying you are one of these--I don't know--but I am amused at those "Miles needs to stay!" people who believe he will now "open up" the offense and get a new coordinator.

Pumpers?

You made your bed. Lie in it.

Of course what is maddening, is the rest of us are forced to go along with you.

You realize the same issues plaguing Harris are the same ones that Franks has to work on? Can throw the deep ball but has trouble with all the short throws.

This.

He has a very high ceiling, but he needs work and development. That is NOT the kind of QB that Miles and Cameron can win with. We need a kid that is polished already.

I would definitely take Franks, don't get me wrong, but people expecting him to come in right away and be a badass in this system are sorely mistaken.
