Yes, but there has to be punishment for drops like these. Whether it be holding a ball all week or not starting a game, gotta get them to focus on catching the ball
Lol holding the ball, watching a little too much of "The Program" there big hoss.

Dural has a different set of rules..he will start next week

I'm really nervous about next week when it's going to be raining.

You don't know shite about what happens in practice. Prove that you do. Now tell me they don't work on catching.
Did I ever say that they weren't working on catching in practice? Nope. I implied that they seriously need have the coaches making them work on it a bit more.
Again, as I keep having to repeat myself (read it more slowly this time)
The proof is showing up on the field.
My fault for not laying it down on a silver platter the very first time for all of you mental midgets to gobble it up right away.

Sure seems that way.
That's probably what sealed the deal with Dupre'. He goes to a ton of practices during the recruiting process and notices all the run blocking we practice. Man, he says, I gotta get some of that.

Wanna know how I know that you know nothing about the game?

Now, that's some weak sauce. No urgency. They'll fix it after it costs them a game or two. Lol. Classic.
What do you want him to say? Travin is pissing me off with the drops and next week you wont see him starting? Hes not Mainieri he doesnt throw players under the bus.
Im not a Miles fan boy by any means but one thing he has shown is that he doesnt tolerate turnovers or players who want to go through the motions and half arse it. He will get the message across or Dural will find the doghouse pretty quick.

Sure, go right on ahead and elaborate. Otherwise, you're just like all of the other pin-heads in this thread who've yet to bring a valid counter-point to my post.
Seriously, you all keep it up with the cute little internet colloquialisms.

Too much talent on the roster to allow any one player to take his position for granted

Maybe he has the wrong receivers in there ? Try D.J. Chark, he can catch !

A guy catches the ball 97% of the time in practice, you don't pull him cause of. Couple of drops. You throw it to him again. And you don't stop throwing it all together. He will come a rounds. Have a little faith in your players .
It is not just the drops, it is the complete lack of aggression, especially on Durals part. I'll take a drop here and there if he seemed to "want" to catch it, but he seems to take it for granted. We need hungry receivers like Jarvis and OBJ were. They had their issues, but never gave up.

4 stars, 5 stars... doesn't matter if they aren't being coached properly.

what do you suggest the coaches do to "teach" the receivers how to catch?
let the watch how to catch from the sideline, and replace them with someone who can. Quinn can't be any worse then Dural.

Maybe the correction needs to be in coaching them up on catching... you know, like what coaches are fricking suppoed to do?
For fricks sake... Eventually a wide RECEIVER had to just catch the fricking ball when it hits him on the hands. I mean do you honestly think the coaching staff particularly the wide receivers coach has not worked extensively with the WRs on catching the godamn ball? I swear to God some of you will blame the coaches for fricking anything.

Sure looks like they've done a bang up job getting results. I mean seriously, what else do you want me to say? Our 4-5 star recruits just blow?

You don't coach someone at this level how to catch the ball
You coach them to put them in a position to catch the ball
Huge difference between the two

I watched a lot of the warm ups the last game. Think the receivers were more interested in showing everyone they could catch balls with one-hand than anything else.
Posted on 10/3/15 at 10:51 pm to tigerskin
Maybe if they threw the ball a little more the Wrs would remember how to catch.... J/j #Buga
