How about give them more fricking chances? Why is there a set amount of passing plays regardless of game situation?

Again, we have passed at about the same amount each game.

So tell them that's all they'll get? I hate that part of the offense so much. Its almost a curse that we have any good passing plays, because it gives you hope that a lightbulb comes on.

If anything they should use the routes they ran on the first pass more often

Play action then Bootleg with a crossing route in front of him for an easy 15 yards

Where is the TE?
Where is the Jennings package of hitch/hook/stop routes?
Why are so many designated throws 50 yds down the field?

Harris and the receivers were off tonight and it was pointless to keep throwing it. Just regroup, run the ball and get back to the practice field

On several deep passes to Dural, Dupre ran a 10 yard hitch over the middle and was wide open.

Now, that's some weak sauce. No urgency. They'll fix it after it costs them a game or two. Lol. Classic

You are one dumb mutherfuker, have you ever played a sport higher than flag or t ball?Cause if you did you would know that positions work a third of practice on drills related to their position. Next up plays and procedures. Next up live play. Receivers are choking, coach can't go catch the fuking ball for them then hand it to them to make a play.

THE PROOF ON THE FIELD

It is impossible to force the WR to catch the ball. It's totally up to them. They have sucked so far and this game more than the others, that does not prove in any way that the coaches could make a difference.

I say sit them in the bench.

Bookmark this. They'll be right back on the field next week. Why? Poor coaching.

I wonder if there is a giant white board in cam's office with all the layers of BH's progress and mastery of the QB position laid out over a four year period LOL

Often it seems like we are spoon feeding our QBs to their detriment. The flip of that is if BH is so afraid of losing his spot by throwing picks then the kid is suffering from paralysis by analysis. Throwing 50 yd bombs down the field really isn't a very risky pass if you think about it. Perhaps it isn't so much cam as it is what BH sees and feels on the field under fire

Too easy to blame the OC when we are using three and four WRs out in routes but throwing the same balls to the same guys over and over

People in this thread really bashing coaching for receiver's drops? Lolz

Sounds like they need to be catching 100 balls from the machine every day after practice to me.

Maybe the correction needs to be in coaching them up on catching... you know, like what coaches are fricking suppoed to do?
Come on man. If you hit the receiver directly in the hands at chest/face level, wearing those expensive arse sticky jelly gloves, and they don't catch it? That's not a coaching problem

Harris looked fine to me. The WRs looked terrible. There have been way too many drops this season so far.

Didn't Miles say last year if teams had 1 safety or man coverage on an island, that LSU would instruct the QBs to throw it deep?

It was plain and day they were trying to use this game to tune up our passing attack. We came out on fire and then all of a sudden the WRs couldn't catch a damn single ball. We kept trying to force throws and none of them worked. It got to the point where drives stalled out because of it and we were in a damn 8 point game with Eastern Michigan heading into the 4th quarter.

So frankly I'm fine with the coaches from this game. Theyve finally done what everyone wanted and came out gun slinging trying to improve passing. When it doesn't work out like everyone thought because our WRs have stone hands, then it's all of a sudden the coaches fault again.

Ahhh boo boo bear, never claimed to be a big fan of our coaching and play calling but to call dropped balls on coaching is absurd. Catch the fricking ball, you fumble your problem, you throw ints consistently your problem, you don't give 100 percent effort your problem. You can coach the "game" hard to coach aggressiveness. If you think for a second our coaches haven't taught these kids how to catch and secure the ball you are delusional. These basics are taught at a very early age. You want to talk play calling let's hear it.

The Jarrett Lee 2008 hangover is real and formidable LOL

Les still goes to sleep at night with visions of Lee's pick sixes dancing in his head

ETA: hard to believe but Ok State WR Rashaun Woods played under Miles and still holds the NCAA records for TD catches in a game (7) and in a half (5) and he still holds most of the OSU receiving records. Miles was once known as a pass happy coach
