JD has peaked. If we want the same season next year then he is your man

Yeah this is truly BKs first big decision at LSU where fans are split

I’m sorry to burst your illusions but BK doesn’t give two shits about “pushback” from so-called fans on or off this board.

He will do what he thinks is best for the team, thankfully.

People do care what they think, just as people care what you think, which is why your posts, and their opinions, elicit responses.

I don't know who Matt Hayes is, but if he isn't an LSU fan then I actually don't value their opinion. I never value the opinion of outsiders when it comes to what my favorite team should do.

I’m just gonna leave it up to the coach because he sees practice every day and I don’t and he obviously knows what’s best for the team.

Yet, scouts and his NFL grade completely disagree with you. Not to mention another hole in this argument is on one foot he threw very well against an elite Georgia defense before being sidelined with injury. Whatever doesn't fit your narrative though huh.

You guys keep saying he regressed but never mention the Georgia game where he didn't even have 50% of his best attribute in that game.

For the record, I have nothing against Nuss at all. I hope he keeps progressing and turns into our unicorn. I just find it funny how much facts are ignored here and how you guys will frame anything to fit a narrative made up in your mind. This board should be hired for free by BK he'd be in a NC next year right?

I would argue that him being unable to scramble in the GA game actually helped him by forcing him to throw. Will he revert to tucking and running first on broken or well-covered plays when he’s healthy again, who knows.

He has the talent to throw well. He has to get past the mental part of always using his legs as a crutch instead of a weapon.

you also repeatedly said Daniels couldn’t compete in the SEC and would get slaughtered. You are a fricking idiot that hated JD the day he signed. I remember you saying you’d bookmark his failures lol. Yet he won the west lol

It wasn’t close with Jordan Jefferson either, the QB race or the ball to the barn

This is going to be the longest damn off-season ever. I pray we win it all in Omaha just to limit these threads down to 5 a day

Why would we lose Howard? I can understand Nuss transferring if Jayden is the starter next year, but Howard would only have to wait 1 more year. It’s the same thing Nuss did.

The only thing he gets from another year at LSU, is another year at LSU.

If the top 5 grade is real and not just Mel Kiper's opinion, he's probably gone, but 5th QB isn't a first round pick, and first rounders get ~3x as much as second and later rounders. There actually is quite a bit to be gained by staying a year assuming he believes LSU's staff can take him to the next level. Which is probably true because he's really not very far from being elite. He just processes defenses a bit too slow while being gun shy leading to a lot of balls thrown late. That's a relatively easy fix so long as you have a decent coaching culture.

So funny. Did he watch any of the games or just use raw stats as so many of the women on this board do?

Nuss had all spring and fall practice to prove he deserved to be the starter. He failed. But by all mean, take a half a game he did pretty good in (and ignore the half a game against Southernthat he did poorly in) as some sign that “he’s the man” at QB. Whatever makes you feel better.

Where Is anyone saying Nuss should have been the starter this past season? We are taking about moving forward what should LSU consider.

No the frick I did not hate JD.I said I didn't think he would be a great SEC QB.
That based on his film he struggles throwing the ball down field.

Hated? Stop lying.

I didn't think he was the best QB for the personell we had.
Still don't.
Anything else you wanna lie about motherfricker?
