Yes.

His name is Jimbeaux.

One of Miles shitty teams that people want him fired for beat this same team by double digits.
That's a very weak argument.

LSU lost to unranked Kentucky and Arkansas during Les Miles NC season.

They destroyed teams in 2013. Their team was like ours in 2011 except the did it with a legit offense.

outside of the 34-31 championship game and the 14 point win over Boston College, they beat every other team by at least 27 points.

They had a 5 game stretch right before the national championship, where they beat teams 280-34. That's an average score of 56-7

It's a fair statement no one can answer, but time.

You are correct. The acc is weak. If LSU was 7-0 and lost to a 2-5 Georgia tech team, the rant would want him fired. He was coaching is an extremely weak conference and he had slightly better talent. Barely beating wake forest, Boston college, and USF. We don't play those teams here.

I agree that Jimbo is the past.

Look, LSU was a stepping stone school for many years. Whenever we got a little success our coach would leave for greener pastures. We longed for a coach that would stay for a while.

Well we got one and are running him out of town on a rail, so we can forget about LSU ever being a destination program. We're going to be back to a stepping stone and since everbody seems to be giddy about that, then...

Jimbo is not the guy because he will want to stay here for a while and our fans won't have it.

Agree.

I do think Jimbo knows how to win, but that laughable 2013 schedule doesn't help the cause. Good lord that was weak.

I'll quote this about his defensive prowess that I started a thread on a couple days back

quote:

His defense fell quite a bit in 2014, but they lost a load of talent plus Jeremy Pruitt from the 2013 team, and they regrouped since.

- Went from the #63 in total defense in 2014 to #20 this year. Went from #50 in scoring defense in 2014 to #11 this year.

- Was the #3 total defense and #1 scoring defense in 2013.

- Was the #2 total defense and #6 scoring defense in 2012.

- Was the #4 total defense and #4 scoring defense in 2011.

- In his first year as HC, he was #42 in total defense and #20 in scoring defense, that is AFTER the team was previously #108 in total defense and #94 in scoring defense in 2009, Bowden's last year.

Mark Stoops ( now Kentucky HC) and Jeremy Pruitt (now UGA DC) were his two DCs.

I think Jimbo's teams play closer to their potential and abilities. LSU has had all the potential in the world and has struggled with inferior opponents.

I don't want to ride the clock. I want the game put away when we are the superior team. I would not care as much about a loss if we played good ball and lost to a better team. Losing still sucks, but there is no shame in playing as a well coached, cohesive unit and falling a little short.

There is shame in being better and getting holding penalty after holding penalty, jumping the snap repeatedly and lining up offsides.

While I would not want either, Bob Stoops and Steve Spurrier would put their foot on a brothers neck and hold it down until the clock was empty. Jimbo does not get up by 14 and try to ride the clock to victory.

Let's try reaching our potential for a while.

LSU has a top recruiting class lined up the next few years. Some recruits have decommitted and others are waning. Jimbo retains them and adds more. Others - not so sure.
