Unfortunately, the thread got deleted b/c ESPN is owned by Disney and it is somewhat elementary....they don't allow cursing or even certain words so I had to put periods in some of your "arse" and "shite" words so they'd pass the censor......LOL. He's right. I've been to an LSU game in Baton Rouge and you do get some mighty good eats and plenty of liquid refreshment. All on the house as they say. Course from time to time you gotta pay for it by watchin' your team get the butts whipped. But, it's sure a fun time.

Even though I have never lived in Louisiana due to the fact that my dad is in the military, I always claim how part of my ties are to Louisiana. I always mention how my family is from there and my parents grew up there. It will be nice to get there for college and be able to finally be in the State that means so much to me and my family.

Once those TX fans started bringing up Katrina I lost all respect for them.
I posted over there and never cursed or talked crap. I was thrown off the site after game 1. Then I immediately got a new user name with another email and wasn't approved until after game 2. I was thrown off the site, again, after our 5 run inning in game 3... right after I posted "BOOM!" I sure hope our mods don't do that to fans of other teams that just want to post on TD.

To those of you who wish to call Louisiana your home, thats all you need. Thats the beauiful thing about this state and this school especially. It doesn't matter to anyone where you were born or where you graduated from. If your hearts bleeds for this school then it bleeds for this state because they are one and the same. You're no less a Louisianian or LSU fan than those of us who were born here and spent 4 years in BR. We're all equal when we wear purple and gold and no true Louisianian or LSU fan will tell you any differently.

I love how everyone shares their stories reiterating what LSUTigahBait said. Really shows that his profound words not only connected with everyone, but proved he was 110% correct in his message. He hit the nail on the head, the same way John Ed Bradley did in "It Never Rains In Tiger Stadium" when he spoke of how LSU is the common bond that represents our state in good and bad times. Having served in the Marine Corps and being in 13 countries, I've never passed up a chance to don the Purple and Gold to show the world where I'm from, where I stand, and that I'm proud of our DAMN strong loyalty and traditions .

BTW, my Texas friends Houston is just as much hurricane bait as New Orleans, and a major 4 or 5 cat hitting that area would wipe out the oil money from the Beamont-Orange corridor for at least six months, and cut your state budget in half, and flood the whole damn city center.
