The face of this team offensively will be Ware. Mark it down.

Deal. I've got over 188 yards per game. Archived by ChemE in the OP.

Lol I was pumping Ware before he started getting touches. Ware is a stud. But even if he runs for 1200 yards, JJ is going to be the face of this team in 2011. It will be ware, shep, TM, and mett next year. Bashing the face of the program is bashing the program.

How is Josh rob recovering?

Absolutely. And the funny thing is that the truth has been there all of the time. Some people actively try to avoid it.

JJ will perform much better this year because he will have a better coordinator and offensive line.

JJ doesn't want to lose a game more than anybody (including some of you diehard fans!). He's doing the best he can (understood, he comes off short of your expectations)and what some of his hard critics don't understand is that he's the best we have (I know, I know...some of you whine at the coaches for this because you think Miles likes more drama by bringing in JJ every single time).
Until somebody betters him on the field, he will be our QB. Least we could do is not worsen the situation by heckling/booing him.
I'm going to hope that he has improved from last year. If not, I'm going to wait for the next guy to prove it and take his job.
Can't wait for the season!

LSU might as well throw money in a pile and burn it.

I honestly hope the best for him. I do get upset that in interviews he seems to think he always performs well, if he actually believes that then I don't see him making a whole lot of improvements. As far as somebody beating him out, I believe if Mett was to consistently out perform him in practice but not by a landslide JJ would start.

That, I agree! He needs to eat a humble pie sometimes.

I would be ashamed of our program if we didn't give JJ a chance this year... JJ hung in there through the tough post-Perriloux years when he wasn't ready to play and the fans were on him. Our offensive line failed him miserably last year. Now is his chance and I fully support giving him the opportunity to seize it...

That being said - if we have two losses at some point in the regular season, and are out of the SEC title game, I'll endorse prepping Mett for next year.

The last two time the champ was in NO we had a senior qb and won it all. Miles coached one of those teams.

Hrmmm the champ in in NO this year.... Hrmmmm we have two senior qb's.... Nah to hell with what works, let's stick mett out there with no chemistry with the recievers in the biggest opening day game of at least the last decade, in the singularly most distracting stadium in the world. Oh by the way, our senior qb's have played there before and although they have underpreformed at times, let's just throw them under to bus. To hell with playing for a championship. I mean, Cam newton was normal right? It's normal to from JuCo to undefeated champs playing in the SEC, right?

Chill, bro. He's already going to owe me a Caniac for his negativity... What more do you want from the man?

I think JJ should start but be on a very short leash only because sometimes things seems to click for seniors. BUT If anybody here says he has been even good up to this point you are sadly mistaken. We won in spite of him not because of him. Who has he been better than in the SEC I also believe it is hard to say he was better than people like Masoli or Relf because he had far more talent to work with.

This is really, really bad. One of the most illogical arguments I've seen.

Since when did having an honest opinion about a QB who has by all accounts underperformed become a negative thing. I hope he does well, I just don't think he will.

I agree, unfortunately I think it won't be a good surprise.

Rather people will be surprised that even with a new OC who is a QB specialist, and 3 years in the system, he will not be any better...yet he will continue to be the starter.
