Fire everybody. I don't think the policy should've been made to begin with because of "safety" reasons

Can't help but wonder what the original decision would've been if King was still employed.

But I'm going to be all unsafe at the games now. Makes me nervous. Get me a xanax.

Thank God. This was one stupid idea by the admins. At least they are doing the right thing now.

I hope everyone who complained is happy. Alabama will now bring their full band. I hate the songs they play and now they'll muddle the sound of the Golden Band from Tigerland. But at least we get to watch them at halftime. Woo fricken hoo.

Good dumbest shite ever. Some high schools do this for what reason I have no clue.

You mean like they've been doing since the dawn of the SEC? Why don't you grow a pair, and appreciate the whole experience for what it is?

Hell, I still cling to hope that Les will figure out a way to beat em and shut them up the old fashioned way -- crazy me, I know.

But seriously, can we get one person in LSU administration, just one that has a freaking backbone?

Alleva did the same thing at Duke

I'm sure the public outcry was overwhelming. And we all know they have shown they can't stand up for anything.

There's a major problem with this (and I'm speaking as a former band director at a D1 school). There is a reason, other than mere politeness, that the visiting band always goes on first. If both bands aren't off the field by a certain point near the end of halftime, the refs throw a flag for delay of game on the HOME team. Most bands take care to stay within the time allotment but if, for whatever reason, the halftime goes long, the home band (performing last) can, if the director is paying attention, cut their show short and get off the field so the team doesn't get a penalty. Under this new policy, the LSU band will not be able to control this.

Let's say Bama brings their band and both bands perform. Let's stipulate that, for whatever reason, the halftime is running a bit long. Will the Bama band (performing last under this proposed policy) have an incentive to cut their show short and get off the field? After all, it is the HOME team that is responsible for making sure halftime doesn't run long, and it's the HOME team that will be penalized on the second half kickoff. So, unless the rules have changed in recent years, LSU is setting itself up for a potential embarrassing situation. How do you think Les would feel about giving up five yards on the second half kickoff in a tight game because the visiting band stayed on the field too long?

I don't know how an Administration can keep making the wrong decisions over and over and over again and not learn from their mistakes. They are SO out of touch, someone on the BOS or TAF has to step up and try and put a stop to this. I'm tired of LSU looking like a bunch of FOOLS.

Is it any Wonder we get our arse kicked in the SEC meetings every year and don't get a single thing we're looking for.... This Administration can't even stand up to lowly little Jacksonville State when they want to pitch a fit about not being able to perform on the field
