It's staggering how many people have no comprehension of what a compromise is.

LSU was already screwed. There was no way they were going to win (or even break even).

I will settle for playing Florida at Tiger Stadium.

Umm. They lose the LSU home game and Presbyterian home game in 2016. Plus they play at LSU in 2015 and 2016. Fair is fair so LSU will play at Florida for 2 straight. Lsu didn't get screwed.

We made the best of a dogshit situation that UF/SEC made. I can't fathom how people don't see this.

Florida refused to consider alternate sites or dates for the game in the first place. They should have not benefited at all (2017) for what they did.

LSU has to now navigate a rough final stretch if they have any hopes of winning the West. Then next year, an extra SEC road game. LSU was screwed, considering they did everything right from the start.

It's the best of bad options but really not great. Playing on Sunday would have been best option but as you said, UF/SEC screwed that up.

I like idea of keeping open date and getting a better home game.

A compromise is appropriate when both sides have some degree of responsibility/fault. In this case Florida was SOLELY at fault and should have SOLELY suffered any loss. LSU was screwed by their ineptitude and/or cowardice.

Florida created this mess and should clean it up. It's not up to LSU to share a loss we are not in any way responsible for. All Florida had to do was make a reasonable contingency plan for the highly probable event that a hurricane would interfere with the game. They chose not to do what any reasonable person would have as it was in their interest to do so.

LSU got screwed.

Florida gets to rest their players, host recruits, get healthy, still get to compete for the east, and get an extra home game next year.

I fail to see how this is a win for LSU.

We lose an SEC home game next year to add an SEC game with late notice this year to an already 2 loss season. Not to mention that we put our other games this year at risk with the way the schedule lines up.

We are now lacking depth with our injury concerns, so it will be a rough year this year, no matter what, and now a rough year next year with Bama, OM, UF, Tennessee, BYU all on the road.

Whoever the coach is, he's got a murderer's row to get through next year.

They're playing in BR the same number of times as before, but got a guaranteed day game because they're scared

Coach O has to be thrilled. Extra audition game now at home. Worry about next years schedule later.

There shouldn't have been any compromise at all.

THEY fricked this up. THEY should have to eat it. WE shouldn't have had to budge one inch.

Right. And we un-fricked it up the best we could. Try living in reality for one split second.

My guess this could cost Florida tons of money, this is not a great deal for Florida either.

How? They didn't lose a home game they just deferred it a year

It cost them money in the short-term but they're going to get it all back

Well, I don't have any choice in the matter, now do I?

That doesn't mean I have to LIKE seeing LSU get bent over on this.
