re: Gamecocks thinking they should be #1

Any team go wire to wire at #1 in baseball?...
First time in a long time the Bye week was not a disadvantage to LSU....
"The Game" with Michael Douglas. Not sure if it should have won any awards, but it's a great watch....

I think you will start to see a lot of players not academically eligible. 18-20 year old with that much cash, probably not going to class....
LSU vs Alabama 1979 Bama won 3-0. I remember walking up the ramp in the stadium and seeing the lights and hearing the crowd, I knew it was something special!...
Not sure if any are available, but it sure would be nice to pick up a big pass catching/Blocking TE. Read earlier that Georgia TE may be looking to leave....
There’s nothing wrong with the portal. The only thing wrong for some of you is that you want to restrict the freedom of players.
It's not restricting freedom. Pro football players can't just leave a team whenever they want. They can demand a trade or sit out, but the team doesn't hav...
If Miles or Orgeron was doing the hiring I might be more concerned about these kind of stats. But Kelly has a proven record of success, is obviously much more intelligent than our prior two high school level head coaches and is capable of accurately judging the knowledge, skills and abilities...
Williams isn’t going anywhere with lebby coming in lol.
You’re probably right, but I would think you should have learned to not say “he isn’t going anywhere”...

re: When do we see our first hire?
I feel like it's getting late in the process. What do yall think?
He's been head coach for 2 days ...
If you make a desperation hire from Notre Dame, you don't get to pay market value. Woodward would have had to pay much more than what Tucker and Franklin got for an extensions. ...

re: The DC and OC hires importance:

Recruits should not base their decisions on Coordinators. They move often, if they are any good. Not saying it can't influence the decision to a small degree, but I don't think that should be the deciding factor....

re: Source - Latest On Coordinators

I think a lot of the players and to a lesser extent coaches go to ND because of the school itself, not just the head coach. So you may see more players and coaches stay loyal to ND. ...
Don't get me wrong it's a lot of money. but, It's in line with all of the other hires and extensions. If Woodward was scrambling at the last hour, trying to pull Kelly at the last minute, I would expect much higher numbers....
He's a loudmouth that needs to go. I would feel differently but you can't help but see that our linemen are big time out of shape. Non athletic, soft, and injury prone. He supposed to deliver an athlete that's ready to execute what they have to do at a high level. Both sides.
So y...
If that makes you feel better about your geriatric prize, so be it. At least his face goes LSU purple when he’s shouting at his players. And thanks to his new contract he’s got the gold covered.
I can see you're sooo happy with your coach that you're in here trying to stir shite up...
So, people believe that Scott Woodward got absolutely played by Trace Armstrong only to go sign his other client a couple days later.
My thoughts exactly, why would you trust him if Riley went down like that....
They reached out to him early in the process and went through the preliminary stuff. They circled back to him after Riley fell through and got the job done. Credit to Scott for that.
From Riley's press conference "Riley said he never spoke to any other school about its opening" ...
Correct. He was never contacted. Just as the job details had to be worked out at SC for several weeks....so did the details of Kelly’s contract.
From his press conference "Riley said he never spoke to any other school about its opening"...
