No its not it just means they atleast started a game last year it has nothing really to do with starters this year

So Dural was the only WR to start a game last year?

the bolded players ended last season as starters, as far as I can tell.

Maybe

If you don't remember, we weren't really a passing offense last year and maybe we never started in a formation with 2 out wide

But seriously, idk. Maybe that is oversight. Seems hard to believe.

Does the bold typed names signify starters?

If so, Jennings in bold below Harris

Yep. In the craziest move Miles has ever pulled he's decided to start 7 on offense and 5 on defense. It'll be interesting to see how it plays out for him.

Is Bry'Keithon really that good to pass up Ducre?

Honestly, I thought Mouton would be the starting FB by year 2 and they would move Ducre to full time RB where he needs to be. Mouton was a small TE (height wise) in HS and at 6'1 255, he's already big enough for the FB position.

Surprised to see Paris that low.

I'm shocked by that too.

From the favorite at that spot to 3rd string just like that.

I think Kevin Toliver might just be that good. Paris should get some PT in nickel and dime packages and will play a lot next year.

I agree with a previous poster that he might want to check out safety as well. Cross training among DB positions is great for pro prospects.

Maybe it was bowl game starters.. almost impossible to think our first offensive play from scrimmage was 1 wide every game. Plus, Harris started the Auburn game and his name is not bold.

I, too, was skeptical of starting Clapp at OC early on. Having him at OG is a great way to get him to game speed. Obviously, his future is at OC, but that takes some time.

Sione at 2nd

My boy Key is already the primary backup! I thought he would be just a pass rush specialist a month or so back, but he has really stepped up. Ed O loves to rotate his guys and Steele really wants to get aggressive, and attack the QB. Gonna be a fun year.

I was reading how Godchaux said it would usually be just him, Lac and maybe a little bit of Bain last year, and that was the truth. We didn't rotate DL worth a damn. How the hell are you going to have these big dudes reading and reacting to a team that runs 80-90 plays a game, when they can't even catch a break?

Really like that they put Pocic at C. Get your smartest most versatile guy there to make all the calls.

Is he the smartest guy? Based on what? SAT? GPA? IQ? Most versatile I can agree with. I have haven't seen or heard of anything that documents that he is the smartest. One or more of the other guys may be the smartest.

If i was Ed Paris. id try and move to Safety and start working out there. i think him being a big body would fair better there than corner especially with the talent and speed they have there

I still have no idea why we wanted him at corner over safety. He looks like a prototypical big body safety that goes over the middle, and lays the f**king wood!

I'm not like others, I like Savion Smith (our 5 star corner in 2016 class) at corner. He may not have elite speed, but he has great technique and makes plays on the ball. That would allow Paris to move into the backup safety spot next year, and then start as a senior along with Eric Monroe.

I'm not going to search for it, but one of the coaches last year made a comment about how adept Pocic was at reading defenses.

Scary looking at LB and seeing how thin our depth gets if even 1 of our guys there were to go down.

As it should be. The Trey Quinn fan club won't like it though

No need to shite on Quinn. He will be a very valuable contributor this year and future years for LSU. He'll be in the rotation and that is all you can ask of a true sophomore.

People are making too much of his drops because of when they occurred. All receivers have the case of drops. Generally it is nerves that they get over with experience. Why the need to put down hard working Tigers is beyond me.

"Ethan is very, very, very unusual," Grimes said. "I don't know if I've ever had a guy who could legitimately play all five positions. That starts with his intelligence, passion for the game, desire to learn how to do new things and willingness to do whatever we ask. I can't say enough about the kid. He's got a really unique skill set.
