Miles will forever hold LSU back. Ridiculous he doesn't have the stones to just name Harris the starter. Everyone knows he's the future. Jennings sucks. He's Jordan Jefferson with another name.

No need to shite on Quinn. He will be a very valuable contributor this year and future years for LSU. He'll be in the rotation and that is all you can ask of a true sophomore.

all you can ask of a true sophomore is to be "in the rotation"??? Really???

How about if a player has the skills, he can be much more than just "in the rotation" as a sophomore, or even as a feshman.

By your logic, only junior and seniors can really be productive at WR.

Just more excuse-making.

And by the way, I like Quinn.

I'm not shitting no him. He can be a solid contributor, but he was outplayed by Diarse last year. People on here act like he's the second coming of Christ though.

Gordon actually has great hands FWIW. Great athlete.

This is constantly overlooked by fans. Gordon has made some great catches when they have chosen to throw to him. It is not his fault the NFL Tight End coach cannot find a way to utilize his TEs in the passing game. Amazing!

Since it hasn't been mentioned yet, positions with "or" are listed alphabetically.

I'm not going to search for it, but one of the coaches last year made a comment about how adept Pocic was at reading defenses

Sort of like the LB that started ahead of Beckwith?

This is the youngest defense I have ever seen in total experience, not to mention game changers on this defense...I hope we can score alot...

Some of you guys are hilarious worrying about the the names in bold. This is the standard for every team and every preseason pub. for years. Players in bold simply means they started the majority of the time the previous year.

What I got from the depth chart is this. Teuhema is even with Boutte and maybe Clapp. KJ and Weathersby look like the 7th and 8th guys. At least 3 TEs will play in every game and sometimes on the same play. WR pecking order looks to be Dural, Chi, Chark, Diarse. Mouton maybe a better blocker than Ducre.

On defense LSU will play 5 DTs. Key will be first sub and 6 DEs will play. I think Duke is first sub at LB. Alexander is better than some thought. Paris will play but has lost his job since the spring. Battle has improved since the spring. Two to five guys probably need to transfer after this year if they want to play.

All of course subject to change.

Why not just masturbate with a noose around your neck? Solves both problems at once, but be sure you have a spotter.

"Ethan is very, very, very unusual," Grimes said. "I don't know if I've ever had a guy who could legitimately play all five positions. That starts with his intelligence, passion for the game, desire to learn how to do new things and willingness to do whatever we ask. I can't say enough about the kid. He's got a really unique skill set.

He is talking about an individual player. I never said Pocic was not intelligent. And no where does he say Pocic is any more intelligent than any of the other linemen. Or that he is the smartest lineman. It is his "unique skill set" he is referring to, which includes his intelligence, among other skills. Not his unique intelligence.

Hey Jack Rabbit, a team is made up of more than just starters. Non-starters contribute to winning as well. I guarantee you that without backups, LSU couldn't win more than 3 - 5 games a year. That is not excuses, that is reality. Try it some time.

Ducre 3rd FB? Interesting that mouton already passed him since he missed spring ball.

3 things that surprised me about this depth chart:
1) He switched Ethan Pocic from LG to C and William Clapp from C to LG. Any reason for that switch? I would have loved to see Ethan Pocic as a G.
2) Desean Smith is the 3rd TE. Not surprised he's behind Dillon Gordon, but I am surprised he's behind Colin Jeter. Is that because Jeter is another blocking TE? Smith still ought to play a ton, right?
3) Ed Paris is the 3rd CB behind Dwayne Thomas and Kevin Toliver. I knew Kevin Toliver would work his way up and he was doing well, but I'm little surprised Dwayne Thomas was picked the starter. I hope Ed Paris still gets some playing time though.

Everything else, IMO, looks pretty great to me.
