This is a comment directed at the "LSU didn't win crowd". It is not relevant when talking about past events to reference who is better. If you say LSU didn't win you are really saying that Bama was better. I disagree but it is a point not worth talking about. All that matters is the score. Who won is way more important than who is better.

Was alabamas loss officals??? The arguably best team in footballl came close to being edged out by the 3rd rated team. How could that have happened????? Tired of the BS. LSU needs separation on the score this time.

LSU blocked 1 of those supposedly "missed" FGs. The Gumps omit that part as well as failing the recognize that LSU held them out of the endzone & forcing FGs.

All I can say to these idiots is to go check out the LSU trophy case and they will surely find the 2011 SEC Championship trophy. Soon to be there will be the BCS trophy. That's all that matters.

Again, long-term thinking will correct much of the misimpression currently getting play.

After Jan. 9th the SEC will have won 7 National Championships in a row! I say 7 instead of six because Alabama will not acknowledge the lose. Which mean they will have won as well. So the SEC will get number 6 and number 7 in a row both on the same day!

Funniest post of the day. No, we'll heel if you win this one. I don't think its happening but the whole state will admit it if you do. I do feel like we have all the upside going in. We lose, we definitely deserve it. LSU loses and its going to suck because we get the trophy and you're 1-1 with the BCSNC. You can't split the crystal football. It will be in our trophy case.

Yep IF bama wins they will be BCS National Champions, there is no such thing as a split. And LSU will be the SEC Champions. I would say good luck Jan. 9th but I would be lying, I want to win!

Gotta love these boards.
Most of my bama friends are excited, grateful, and nervous about the rematch. Take out grateful and those are the same sentiments I hear from my LSU friends.
Media will be media. Truth is the BCS sucks, but if Alabama vs. LSU #2 is as closely matched as the first time around I'm excited to watch it.
Plus, this is a different LSU team on offense completely... Hilliard, Blue and Jefferson have emerged over Lee, Randle, and Ware... looks more like the revamped broncos on offense.
Anyway. Here's to Saban taking a page from his successors book and learning to punt when you are out of your kickers range.

Don't get cocky. These guys are SEC west champs, SEC champs, and playing for the BCS/AP. We are lucky to have the rematch given the current system... so lets wait to talk trash when we actually win something? No?
