All I know is we didn't not have a complete game in all phases Nov. 5. and we still won. I anticipate a complete game in all three phases January 9--we will win the turnover battle and the game in unquestionable fashion this go round. frick I love football!

The Rematch is incredibly disrespectful to LSU, it's coaches and players.

Hope an LSU coach prints out the opening post and puts this around the facility. Motivation, if they ever needed it

Well I guess they can scrape up all those points along with the ones left on the Dome field after Jan 9th, add some tears, and mould themselves a nice big trophy.

Well then I guess were good for the BCSNC since everyone says its hard to beat a team twice in the same season and everyone claiming me didn't win the first one

The media guru's are all hoping, wishing, praying that bama does beat LSU so they can finally say after 13 games that "yes, LSU did finally lose, told you so!".. hope we hurt their feelings and Bama's arse at the same time come Jan.9th!..ESPN, CBS, and ABC will all be mighty silent Jan.10th!..

[quote]Miles prep for bowl games far out weighs Saban. Even when at LSU, (Sans the 2003 BCSNC) Saban's prep is questionable. Texas beats Bama if Colt McCoy is not taken out in first quarter. Utah game is prime example of that as well. LM and JJ have some magic in Post Season Games that will show up again on Jan 9.[/quote
Hate to be the bearer of bad news here, but where was the "magic" in the bowl game against Penn State? And don't give me the, "but the field was shitty" spiel, 'cause both teams had to play on it. Hopefully, we won't see another game like that one.

Lutcher, either you didn't see this game or you're a very foolish fellow. Bama could have beaten Texas by 30 points even if McCoy hadn't been injured. That game was a mismatch before it even started, which is why McCoy got injured. Then Bama just let the air out and coasted to the win. It's similar to the Bama / Florida game this year. Brantley was getting killed back there, and that's why he was injured.

Hey, Penrod...I wasn't referring to the Bama/Texas game in my post. I was referring to the quote from another poster that I inserted in my post. Please read!

Miles has a better bowl record than $abun. Just saying. And yes the horrible field....worst in any bowl in the history of CFB did favor Penn State......Fact

The Gumps omit that part as well as failing the recognize that LSU held them out of the endzone & forcing FGs.

How wrong can you be. LSU forced 3 field goals and blocked one of them. Other than that LSU forced punts and for some unknown reason Saban decided to try to kick a fg in punt situations over and over again. Still not sure how the greatest coach of all time accidentally sends out the fg crew instead of the punting team. All the coaches I have talked with have told me if you are out of field goal range you either go for it on 4th or punt!!!!

Bama did , if Bama had a FG kickcer we would have lost .Odds are LSU will not beat "The Other" in a rematch . Most rematch's go to the one who lost the 1st game . Not because the other team is better than it was in the 1st games , just been holding a childlike grudge , and wanting to prove it was luck for the LSU team to win the 1st game .
We have no big O maker . We did not have one in the 1st game and will not have it in the 2nd .You and I know why , .
What we really have are two teams who are matched Even Steven .Look at how they play , always giving all they have , look at the box scores of the teams they have beat . There may never be 2 teams so close alike again in the SEC . But like the 1st game which proves what I have just typed .One has to lose .
Who did not win on Nov 5th was Vegas . LSU really won , but it was luck. Because Les had a player on the team that can and will kick a FG .Our Ex coach thought no one could stop his great running /passing game , and went out and got a "token" FG kicker .
Now the odd makers have a chance to get their money back plus .They are counting on Saban working his team so hard that LSU will look flat and not intersted in the game . Or out of focus . In other words everyone wants "The Other" to win , except maybe you and me .
Think about it , while LSU is getting to walk around with the "Real Championship' , "The Other "team can only watch and say to each other . They are no better than we are , they got lucky again , and keeping telling each other we will show them this time . It will be hard for LSU to be ready or seem ready because Saban has time , we have done done it , we have been there and we won . We maybe a bit lazy in our work outs , we may forget , how hard and just how good "The Other" team is . This game will not prove which team is better only which team wanted the game the most . The "Other Team" has more reasons to want it more . Just look at Tidefans.com . They will not let a LSU fan post . That is "The Other" teams pride and sportsmanship that is what a Bama fan is .All of them are like that . It will take a little luck again , we will need it .

have you noticed how a Bama Fan smells ?? This lovely young lady late 20's early 30's before the 1st games was just a southern girl with that great sounthern charm . Since the game when she comes by to get her Amish jam and honey . She has tried , but she smells like

I don't like the fact that the CFB powers that be show such disrespect for LSU's win on 5 Nov and LSU's 2011 SEC Championship, but, there's nothing we can do about it.

NOT SO FAST!

2000 Fla/Bama: reg season Bama wins 40-39; rematch in SEC championship: Bama 34-7

2003 UGA/LSU: reg season LSU wins 17-10; rematch in SEC championship: LSU 34-13

2010 Aub/SoCar: reg season Aub wins 35-27; rematch in SEC championship: Aub 56-17

Only one rematch in SEC has gone the other way:
2001 Tenn/LSU: reg season Tenn wins 26-18; rematch in SEC championship: LSU 31-20 Note: the first and second games were nearly identical. Tennessee had a scoring flurry in the 3rd qtr in the first game with LSU closing the gap in the 4th. In the rematch, Tennessee's scoring flurry came earlier in the 2nd qtr, giving LSU more time to overcome it.

LSU blocked 1 of those supposedly "missed" FGs.

And two of the others landed in the end zone - tens of yards short even if accurate, which they were not.

SO - they didn't realize their kicker could not even get the ball to the back of the end zone and not in line to go thru if it did.

How can anyone with a brain then say 'if only our kicker had not missed four field goals.'

That sounds ignorant and desperate - LSU was the better team that day and had a superior coach.

THAT is why we won - and will win again.

Now I get it. To outplay someone, all you have to do is attempt long FG's instead of punting.

Thanks ESPN.
