Why does Syracuse really warrant a return trip?

Oh, so we can just force teams to come to BR and play us? I thought the other team had to agree to it. Crazy. Yeah, man, frick Alleva.

Some of the usual suspects seem to be under the delusion that a lot of major football powers (however defined)are dying to play a night game against LSU in TS.

This is awesome. Even though LSU will destroy Syracuse, it's still great for me being a grad student here and doing my undergrad at syracuse. I'll be ready for the 2015 game here and definitely head up for the 2017 game in the dome

Or we could have just kept Arizona State on the schedule.

I hear syracuse and a lot of up state new york is getting pretty crime ridden lately. Rochester for sure is a dump.

I wasn't listening, but apparently Hannagriff said the return trip would be in Metlife Stadium. That would make sense.

From an LSU perspective this is not a bad home and home matchup at all.

The schools won back to back national titles in '58 & '59. Then we played in the Sugar Bowl one of the next seasons.

I think Syracuse played USC in Met Life a couple of years ago, maybe when Barkley was a senior. A lot of empty seats, didn't seem like a great atmosphere. But there's nothing wrong with a weekend in the Big Apple if you've got the cash to swing it.

Not sure about Metlife

No agreement has been finalized, nor has any dates for the series. Giansante did say one of the games would be played at the Carrier Dome and not at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J.

I bet most of the people around here haven't been to central NY before, its really nice in September. Not that I wouldn't mind NYC, just hoping for an actual 'home' game. There'll probably be more LSU fans than Cuse fans like the Cuse PSU games in the dome

Syracuse has to play in the heat and humidity of BR. We get to play in the air conditioned Whatever-It-Is Dome. They're a legit opponent, better than SW Arkansas A&M or whatever; I see us going 2-0 quite comfortably.

No to rain on your parade but the Carrier Dome is not air conditioned.

I'm not complaining. Admittedly I don't know much about Syracuse football, but it's an ACC program that provides LSU fans with an entirely new road trip. And it's infinitely better than another game against bullshite State.

I know their basketball fanbase is extremely dedicated, is their football fanbase similar? It would be cool to see them show up at Death Valley.
