Anyone heard anything? If Helenihi starts I'm gonna take a dump somewhere on LSUs campus. I'm not saying where, but you'll know...

So you're dogging on Helenihi but not the 3 other starters who have a worse average than him? Or the guy who has thee same average as him?
I don't understand the hate for him. He's playing because defensively he's very good...and right now his bat isn't even as bad as some others...

Whether he's at 3B or in the OF he does a great job defensively.
Not everyone is going to hit .300...but the OP dogging him right now when he doesn't even have close to the worst average of the starters is perplexing.

I agree. DH is a great defensive player and I don't understand why there is so much hate for him either.

I have always backed Derek and I think the main reason he gets ragged on is because the majority of the bandwagon fans began paying attention to the baseball team when we were on the winning streak and into the postseaon... which is when Derek went into his slump to end last year.
I think he needs to be in the lineup now but it will be interesting to see what happens when Chad Jones is back from football

I don,t know where to find it, but I would love to know what his average is with runners in scoring position. I find myself quite frustrated with D.H. in these situations.

Dean has been easily the most disappointing player so far this year. If his bat can't wake up tonight and through this weekend he should be benched for a game or two to light a fire under his arse. His average isn't even as good as Helenihi's.

Nor is he as good a defensive player as Derek; however, I'm not bashing any of our guys, I think they will all get it together. Geaux Tigers!

Dean has a better OPS than Helenihi
more HR's, more RBI, more total bases, etc.
Helenihi has easily been our weakest hitter. And he was bad the last half of the year last year. It's doubtful that he is going to come around like a lot of people suggest.
