You want to say alleva didn't think Chavis was worth the contract he wanted, or didn't want to be stuck with a defensive coordinator when looking for a new head coach? Fine.

But let's stop acting like joe Alleva is suddenly concerned with the amount of money being spent. Not after:

- nearly tripling the previous salary of Nikki Caldwell to get her to Lsu, in a sport that literally gouges money

- giving Johnny jones a raise and extension after 2 seasons that were eerily similar to the last season of the previous head coach that was fired/not retained

- giving les miles a raise and extension after the 2012 season, when he was "talking" to arksnsas

- using the open Tennessee AD job to give himself a 25% raise in 2011

I probably should've included the fact that she got beat at home by van chancellor's worst team the season before she went to Lsu.

Yup, compared to the $100 million that LSU's athletic program generates on an annual basis, seems like chump change especially when the defense has been responsible for most of the wins since Chavis came.

Alleva should have never been hired, Duke was inexcusable.

Nikki Caldwell proves he is retarded, when he could have paid a little more and got Mulkey-Roberts.

Miles turned down Michigan the last time, no way he was going to Ark. The buyout and extension is why we almost can't fire Miles, this is just another reason to can Alleva.

That he allows Miles' input on what happens during a game is also retarded. They are killing the traditions of LSU football.

The only reason he is around is because he is a good fund raiser.

He isn't wrong here though. Miles has a short leash, he wins big or he is let go. No reason to tie up money on fired coaches
