Won 12-1 (10 run rule) in the first game- Skenes

Loss 9-4 in the second game.

Loss 14-13 in 10 innings.

The series was played in Baton Rouge in May. Basically this team is last years minus Skenes. No other loss from last year’s team comes close to Skenes. He gave you a guaranteed Friday night win and saved the bullpen. That was huge.

I will not just sit here and let this Dylan Crews erasure happen.

No we didn’t

it’s actually almost a completely different lineup. Catcher and third base are the only returning positions from last year. We replaced 2/3 in the rotation and half the bullpen. But other than that, yeah it’s basically the same team

Yeah seriously. I’m not sure how anyone could think it was basically the same team.

Hopefully, you’re better at looking into the future than you are looking at the past.

This seems incorrect.

Our 2024 squad has no one to replace Crews or Tre Morgan for sure.

Not sure why so many people are trying to compare last years team to this one.
We are completely different.

We lost the series to a bad State team last year.

Down vote for misinformation. Did you forget about the hitters we lost? Skenes was great but…he’s not the only great pitcher we lost.

Wishful thinking. The mountain to climb is a lot taller than some are willing to call it.

Except for when he didn’t.

None of the other pitchers were performing anything close to great until the end of May/June.

That’s my point. Wel loss the series to a very bad State team at home in May. The pitchers on Saturday and Sunday gave up 23 runs…in May! This year we may do the same or better on the road in mid March and fans are already losing their shite.
