The issue is that we're not above OM and lots of people find that unacceptable Exactly so when they say we are i laugh. They uphave been competitive for the last few years, never great but no Vanderbilt. So when someone says we are above them and then get crushed by them in every phase of the game it makes me

burke985

You stupid mf...seriously.

I could list at least 10 fkn accomplishments that indicate differently....LSU is down right now...yet still beat that arse last year....and while you talk about us getting crushed yesterday.....LSU actually had a lot more yards than ole miss, as well as TOP.......They got behind 24 points, and ended up losing by 21.....LSU was not dominated close to the same way that Alabama and Arkansas dominated them....it wasn't even close. If LSU had a competent QB they beat Ole Miss. LSU isn't good right now...but neither is Ole Miss...and if you love them so much...go pull for them you pos constant negative LSU bashing mf.....seriously...gtfo.

nd not a peep about Freeze getting run off.

This right here is a load of bullshite.

The OM fans around here took to the airwaves and were talking about running his arse

So don't give me that shite. Freeze won games after the Memphis game and was competitive.

No, it's not, a board member could have. Could have done so with Alleva's complicity. Who knows. You are naive if you think this won't look bad. Alleva could have put a stop to this, and handled it very differently. He didn't. His plan is pretty obvious. So think what you want dude. As will the rest of the national press....

I never said this won't look bad. It will look bad to some in the national media if we fire Les Miles simply because of his record, not because of "leaks".

Also, you are forgetting who works for who. Alleva works for the President and the BOS.

The ònly chance he stays is if he sings this song to Alleva, "Cause I got a really big team
And they need some really big rings
They need some really nice things
Better be comin' with no strings
Better be comin' with no strings
We need some really nice things
We need some really big rings
I got a really big team"

Alleva's "no comment?" If you are upset about something, it should be at the board of supervisors for talking to the media.

Yes, I group them all together in this case. he should have been on the same page with them.

Also, you have to remember that the BOS has the more power than the Athletic Director. If they are telling him that Les has to be gone, there's not really much he can do about it.

Again, this is all in line with my thinking. They may have forced Alleva's hands with their actions. So by going about it this way, it told me that the decision was probably done.

What has you so salty with my comments? I'm not bashing Alleva (too much), unless the hypothetical situation that Miles is staying was to come to pass, which I don't believe will happen.

The next you hear "you're lucky you played ________ early, you don't want to play them now" ask yourself why we hear that every year, at least for the last couple of years.

Maybe it's because other teams improve through the year. And LSU does what? I'd love to have some of that "progress". We're lucky if we don't regress.

Elite programs identify problems and fix them, somehow. Even if you do not have the talent you plan accordingly, tweak, disguise, etc. You do not keep doing the same thing hoping for a different result. You definitely do not pretend the problems aren't there and then make excuses when they catch up to you.

There is a reason we were Bret Beliema's first ever SEC win.

Do you realize how hard it is to win that many games in a row? Surely beat a Clemson team who beat us in a bowl game. So you saying Auburn wasn't good and they played for a NC? You remind me of a song too. It goes something like Carry on my wayward son.

Because Alleva has done nothing in this entire situation other than say "no comment" to a reporter that got in his face after the game last night.

I don't understand why all of a sudden everyone is bringing out the pitchforks for Alleva. I know a lot already don't like him, but he's done nothing wrong over the last month to make people get all riled up.

Ole Miss lost to freaking MEMPHIS. Just think about that for a second. MEMPHIS!! and not a peep about Freeze getting run off. Just keep bitching about miles because the next coach, whomever it is can severely tank this program.

These comparisons crack me up. Freeze has Ole Miss moving in a direction they haven't had maybe ever. They have recruited well, beat the apparent God of the SEC 2 years in a row, and are putting more people into the NFL than their school ever has before. Ole Miss is trending in the right direction as a school that hasn't had the consistence success Freeze has provided in quite some time. Ole Miss fans would probably tell you they would lose to Memphis every year if it meant beating LSU and Bama in the same season.

You're not doing Hugh Freeze justice by comparing his situation to Les Mile's right now...and I don't want Hugh Freeze anywhere near LSU as a head coach.

I'm usually the last person in a crowd to take up for Alleva; however, he has done nothing wrong at all up to this point with regards to the rumors about the future of our football program.

He gets no slack for all the collective nonsense and goofs and now the slide. Someone on this board keenly reminded us that he used the Arkansas job as a lever for a big extension a few years ago. Shrewd, yes, but that cuts both ways. Not getting the job done and sliding, well, I am reminded by Les' own actions that this is a business and the program needs to consider its options and the W's and L's show a downward trend and an inability to get a decent QB of recent. Maybe he can go talk to Arkansas now. Oh wait, that program just whipped us in our own house.....

I honestly think this is incorrect. The situation is toxic on this board, I doubt seriously though that it's that toxic for the majority of the fanbase.

Alleva needs to make sure he has the new HC secured before doing anything with Miles. If he knee jerks it and winds up with having to settle for someone like Les had to settle with Steele. he ain't seen nuttin' yet.

I would hardly say I'm bringing out the pitchforks. I have a feeling we land a huge name and Joe comes out looking great. I'm just saying if the plan was either unknown or to keep Miles, the leaks and Joe's lack of handling the house in that regard would make for a tense year for everyone involved. That's not a good environment for fostering a successful team.

the fact remains Alleva and his crew have handled this in a very slimy way.

Does it? Do you know anything that is without a doubt factual? All you've heard is hearsay, nothing more. Don't act like you know exactly whats transpired because you are taking 2nd hand information like the rest of us.

75% or more winning prct. Charlie Mack was let go because he couldn't beat Bama. Hired a coach that got killed in a plane crash, then wishful thinking. My point is the prom date wears the same dress every year. What you see is what you get. He graduates kids, and puts them into the NFL
