Leslie is still the coach
Posted by ChurchillVFW on 11/22/15 at 7:08 pm1132
I'll believe it when I see it if he's indeed "let go". If the university is to move in another direction, they damn sure better have an immediate announcement of a new coach. The so called experts had us on average to lose 3 games, so realistically, add another win vs Mcneese, and we're 8-3 with a chance to get to 10 wins. Ole Miss lost to freaking MEMPHIS. Just think about that for a second. MEMPHIS!! and not a peep about Freeze getting run off. Just keep bitching about miles because the next coach, whomever it is can severely tank this program.

as opposed to the current coach, who is in the process of severely tanking the program himself and will undoubtedly do so if allowed to remain in charge?

The situation is too toxic at this point. They had a chance douse the fires but instead poured gas on them. The fans smell blood and they will be lost if a move is not made at this point.
I hope they manage the hiring of his replacement better than they managed the situation with Miles.

Ole Miss is nowhere near the program that is LSU.

Or the next coach can have us in the Playoff hunt in his first year, see Florida and Michigan this year. Why are you so scared of taking a chance? Miles is not a great coach, we have become an AVERAGE TEAM in the SEC West.
Under Miles we have become a .500 team in the SEC and have lost on average nearly 3 games a year in the SEC West every year since 2013.

If we do not hold Les accountable then we become Old Miss.

I'll take it they are a fluke play away from being in control of the west

What exactly has the Athletic Dept. done during the past month that has made this situation worse? The ONLY thing I can imagine anyone having issue with is Alleva's "no comment". But what exactly is he supposed to say if the wheels are already in motion?

Les is going to retire tomorrow.

Ole Miss is still excused when then lose games they are supposed to win. LSU does not have that luxury. The programs are at different levels currently, albeit, Ole Miss is on the rise under Freeze.

They won't. Whether Miles should go or not the fact remains Alleva and his crew have handled this in a very slimy way. Alleva should go IMO but as a school we should be ashamed as to how this has been handled. Absolutely no class.

Alleva is probably sick of it just as we are , divorces firings break ups Yada Yada Yada are always ugly 99.999 percent of the time. We are not exposed to everything there's reasons why it's going like this.

Please tell me, specifically, what has Alleva done during this situation that is slimy and classless? There is zero evidence that Alleva leaked anything to the media. In fact, the quotes being used are by the BOS. Is it that crazy to think it is board members leaking "info" to get what they want?
Alleva has addressed this situation one time. Last night. He said "no comment."
