Sorry but if LSU fired Les and hired Kirby Smart or any assistant for that matter I think that is a huge disappointment. Schools like Georgia, Florida, Bama, Texas, Ohio State or LSU aren't places you go to learn how to be a head coach.

frick that. Aranda is the new hottness. I don't care that he's only 19 years old. Give him the wheel!

I completely agree. I didn't say IGA made a smart move, just that the thought of Les winning 10 games and getting fired isn't as ridiculous as some may think.

Agreed! I think what happened last year, although handled by the administration like shite, was a good "wake up call" of sorts for Les.

He looks focused this year...which should translate into the team being focused. I'm always pumping the sunshine at the beginning of the football season...but I'm also realistic. I remember before the Oregon game in 2011, I felt that team was going to be special. I have a similar feeling about this years... 12 more days!!!!

Well he needs to let Cam/ Jabar/craig add some wrinkles to the offense other than that I'm good.

the fact that this has been downvoted 39x shows how fricking stupid the CLM backers are

Les does not seem different to me. I am sure he got the message, not that it changes anything. He wanted to win last year. He wants to win this year.

Hell, he actually knows what it like to be carried of the field for his last game as a head coach at LSU because he was that close. If that doesn't set reality in and that things need to change, nothing will. I hope he got the message because with everything that happened plus all the changes made, he has no excuse this year. I'm not asking for a title, I'm just wanting to see him maximize the talent on hand. That requires him to utilize the Qb position to its fullest instead of what he's done with it 7 of the 10 years here
That's pretty much the opinion of all the normal adult non-pumper LSU fans that I know and talk to out and about BR. We all seem to be of one hive "Borg" like mind in this regards.

We ARE asking for a Title though. Doesn't have to be National, but SEC West minimum. If Miles can't accomplish that feat with all the talent here, then it's time to head on out to find Greener pastures with Greener grass..............

Three years from now all the Les hating idiots will silently look back on the 2016, '17 and '18 seasons and look like the idiots they are. Then, God forbid, we have a season at some point where we only win 8 or 9 games and the rantards will be back calling for Les to retire.
Short-term perspective, instant gratification morons.

LSU isn't firing Miles even if he goes 6-6.

They will simply not renew contract and will ride it out until it expires... Thanks John Bel Edwards.

If Miles goes 6-6 with this kind of talent , he will be way gone.

I don't think even Curly could go 6-6 with this roster.

A positive projection of results for the next 3 seasons.
I know the thought of Les being successful for the next three years is cringe worthy and unfathomable for some of you, but that's what is going to happen. If not then you may finally have your dream come true

I don't hate Miles. I actually love the guy. I just don't
want him calling the shots on game day anymore.

Supposedly, TAF raised the money to buy him out last year. He was a gone pecan last season until politicians stepped in and saved his goofy arse. He won't get another chance. I hope he has to at least get us to Atlanta in order to have any prayer of staying on.

You say that like that is a possibility. The absolute floor for this team is 8-5 including the bowl. That would mean a rash of injuries or suspension and the team absolutely quitting. Les has never lost more than 5 games in a season and call me crazy for thinking that won't happen this with his most experienced team since 2007.

While I agree, but we are handcuffed by politics.
