I've said it before...usually the quarterback has given SOME kind of sign so far. Haven't seen it from AJ. Nothing has shown me he has the potential to get better. Doesn't mean he won't, but I am much more concerned this year than in other years we've been in this situation.

And how much confidence in our QB play did you have entering the 2011 season with Studrawa as our OC? Not calling you out, but I don't think we can go wrong either way.

Harris has a higher ceiling but Jennings has a higher floor. If Jennings can get the ball to the guys with enough room to make some plays, that's all we need from the QB position.

More confident than this year, because earlier in their careers we saw JL and JJ play really well AT TIMES, proving their capabilities. AJ can't say the same outside of one drive. If he's the guy I'll cheer him on like crazy, but personally I've seen all I need to see. Next.

You chill the fk out koolaid drinker.

People might be more optimistic moving forward if any progression had been made at the QB position towards the end of the season.
None was made. In fact some would argue there was regression.
I'll believe it when I see it. If someone steps up...yeah all your dreams are possible.

Should have been 12-1 if the defense could have held at the end of the Georgia and Clemson games.

The defense would have held on if the offense didn't go three and out every possession.

We only led the nation in third down conversions

AJ as starter = NO confidence

That's not being negative...just realistic. I just don't want to be here in 12 months with people still making excuses for him followed by saying "this" is his year.

I think it's safe to say that if he doesn't prove himself capable this year that Harris, as a junior with two years in the system will take over in 2016.

Exactly. Each had the occasional decent performance. AJs best passing performance as a starter was still shite

don't remember this. maybe "fairly" well. ... but agree with your overall point. AJ has shown almost nothing in terms of physical capabilities. I do think he's better at "managing" a game than JJ and certainly JL at this point of his career.

If AJ is a shite show again this year and Harris still doesn't beat him out this year then we better have a plan C.

With the schedule in the first 3 weeks we will not have time to see who is gonna be better, we better know that when the first game gets here

His completion percentage was low, but he did everything else well against Wisconsin in the opener.

AJ did improve a little bit down the stretch. He will never be a prolific passer and light up the stat sheet and for the reason I hope Harris IS GOOD ENOUGH to beat him out.
However, I think AJ is capable of improving to the point where he can hurt the opposing team for putting 8-9 in the box. That is ultimately what we need and that is the deficit between him and some of our other less than stellar qbs from the past right now...

Can somebody say, Jimbo Fisher?

Lets completely forget that he had to sit JJs arse on the bench to win vs Tenn, Fla, and Bama

Dont even act like Miles was planning on Jarrett Lee going 8-0 for him

I see you managed to forget
2009 9-4?

And the best one yet
