I've never felt Harris would start the opener. There is simply no way he will be allowed to win the job in practice. Miles values experience at the position more than anything, and Jennings has more of it than Harris. I do believe Harris will get a shot to start, but not until we've lost a game or two with Jennings at the controls.

What if Jennings is the better QB?
What if Jennings runs things better?
What if Jennings leads LSU to victory after victory?
What will the Harris fan boys do?

Just remember that Harris hasn't played football his whole life.

you're so damn smart, how do you propose that Miles fix the problems we have on offense?

Have a qb with experience that can execute our offense. Our scheme has proven effective when we have one or did you already forget that before last year we had the 2nd best offense in LSU history. But by all means continue to regurgitate shite you read on the rant. Is there any more bullshite myths you want to add?
Miles not playing freshman, Jordan Jefferson sucked his entire career, there was a fight on 1/9 over the qb position, our offense is simple, Shep wouldve won a Heisman any where else. I figured i just go ahead and say some of the dumber ones for you.

'If' LSU shows improved pass offense with Jennings quaterbacking then all things would be fine. Harris will wait.

Or maybe the current problem going back to last season, was lack of confidence due to lack of experience

Let's actually post the quote in context and what not...

quote:

Setting a goal of completing 70 percent of the team’s passes, Miles noted that while Jennings has had the edge on more days, he’s not seeing enough separation between the two for his liking. "I already know they’re better than they were last year,” he said. "To find a real quality quarterback and to have separation from one to the other, that’s what I’m looking for. I’m not necessarily seeing that.”

They said the same crap about Jordan Jefferson. We'll have a 75/25 run to pass ratio guys no way around it.

Then how did Jennings start over Rivers and how did JJ start over Lee?

If the competition is as close as it seems, the battle may go into the beginning of the season which may not necessarily be a bad thing this year. The beginning of this season sets up nicely for both quarterbacks to show what they can do on the field without it having a negative effect in the loss column. Strong defense & powerful running game will allow for some leeway for one of the quarterbacks to separate from the other. Eventually it's going to come down to Harris' big play ability, but risk taking vs Jennings, game managing conservative play.

2009 - 44th... 87th
2010 - 31st... 68th

thanks for the confidence boost

So people take one snippet out of a whole lot of things the coach said and go crazy. Wouldn't expect anything less from the rant.

That was because of no running game. In 2009 we ran for MORE THAN 170 ,AS A TEAM ,ONLY 4 TIMES.In 2009
JJ had 17tds 7ints 61.5 completion % 137.2 qb rating ( higher than Flynn's in 07 )
.
Qb position was not the problem in 2009.

Oh, I don't think anyone will be the least upset if Jennings improves dramatically and leads LSU to the national championship. I certainly wouldn't mind seeing that.
