or we could hire a competent, qualified AD this time around?
Les shouldn't necessarily be the top pick, but successful coaches have become successful ADs. Obviously Skip, Broyles, Dooley and Bo, just to name a few.
Given the university's current administration, they could easily hire another seemingly qualified suit that ends up being incompetent, too.

Alleva didn't lead it Stanley Jacobs of the BOS did.
Alleva is still a POS

Not true. A lot of revisionist history going on here. Read the sixth paragraph of this link below. Sounds to me like a guy blaming his players.

I'm anti-O, too, but let's not act like Miles was Bear Bryant. It was time for him to go. You want to be mad Alleva screwed things up and treated Miles poorly, fine. But don't be so stupid as to think this program wouldn't be in trouble had Miles stayed.
There are depth issues at key positions because of lack of roster management by Miles. And he refused to improve the offense in part because of very poor QB recruiting and development.

Les was an excellent head coach, he just had that one problem with developing a passing game. Which was a pretty big problem.

Les had a proven record as a shitty QB evaluator and O.C. evaluator. He refused to change. His decisions doomed him.
Anyone wishing he was still here doesn't want to win.

Les may become the next Barry Alvarez,

How sweet it would be if Les could lead to Alleva getting fired!

Les couldn't have said this... there's no uh's after every three words...

Joe is a snake. It was time for miles to go but instead of being a man in he situation he completely botched the whole process across 2 1/2 seasons and torched the relationship with the most prominent coach in LSU history

Where can I find a link to this Les pod cast?

I really enjoyed that tweet.....I enjoyed having Les.... It was time for him to go as the coach, but I enjoyed that guy
I was thinking about it today. I 100% agree it was time for Les to go. But I said it here when Orgeron was hired, for the people that thought a monkey could run this program and have the same success as Les we are about to find out. I don't hate Orgeron, I don't hate anyone that reaches for the best. I just really hated the hire.
Basically, the people that always thought Les was just a fool that lucked into a good situation should be real quiet about Les these days.

Will never understand why alleva leaked to the press he was going to fire miles.
3 games left in the season, team came out and played like he had just been fired. That's some sabotage rt there. Let's not forget the changing of chavis contract.
frick Alleva.

Joe works in the shadows. So yeah, instead of firing Miles at the end of 15, they put a lame duck coach in and fired him anyway. Know why the team played a little better? Well, they played some soft arse teams and were finally able to play loose. Not walk on egg shells.
You don't win 112 games in 11 seasons and suck.
Think about it, you just fired a guy that did something only one other coach could do in the history of your program and replaced him with Ed Orgeron. And most of you dumbasses ate this shite up, lauded Alleva a hero.

This was after it was leaked by LSU that he was going to be fired. With SEC games left on the schedule. He had lost to the national title winners away from home. Seriously? O lost to fricking Troy. Troy!!! This is how Les was delt, tried to be pushed out after losing 1 fricking game that season.

My thoughts exactly. Very well said.

Always respected the hell out of Miles.

All you have to do is simply look at joe alleva, and you automatically know the guy is an undeniable tool. He has no business being the AD at a program like LSU.

Lets not get carried away. Les threw lots of people under the bus in his unorthodox way

1000% agree.
He wasn't perfect and he'd admit that, something the current HC is incapable of doing.
