I said i wasnt going to reply to you, but if you use a kids freshman year and first time in SEC play, as a measure for how well he will do in his senior season, you are plain retarded. He played well in situations last year, and JJ isnt the only one that could have possibly progressed under Kragthorpe.
I swear some people on here have no fcking idea what they are talking about

Look, both Lee and JJ have shown promise at times and both have shown horrible play.
Neither has had a legit QB coach until this season, and somehow JJ regressing into one of the worst Div 1-A QBs in the country last year is saved by the fact that he has legs.
JJ has more athleticism than Lee, but take out the UNC and A&M games last year and in 11 games, JJ put up 93/169 (55%), 1102 yards, 2 TDs and 8 INTs. That's literally averaging 100 yards/game passing, and over 2 INTs for every three games. This doesn't even include his 8 or so fumbles.
Lee in his limited time had 2 TDs and 1 INT. The INT was when he was randomly inserted on 3rd and goal to throw a fade to the RB, which was obvious the second he came in the game. It was a bad throw, but the call was ridiculous.
Lee's struggles also got bigger last year after he got his wrist effed up against Auburn. Keep forgetting that.
In the end, Lee has as much likelihood of improving to be a very good QB as JJ does this year given they have a real QB coach. Let's see how it plays out before calling it the end of the world.

Hey remember that pass that Mett threw in D1 football? Yeah, I don't either.
I want Mett to get his chances, but Lee is our best shot for right now.

And what if he sucks???....Why can't we just get behind the person that is under center when the game starts whomever that may be.

Well i asked for a synopsis, and you acted like your previous comment was a synopsis. How was i supposed to know you had posted about it two weeks ago? LINK?

quote:Alright Mr. Internet Bad-arse, Jarett Lee is the next coming of John Elway and Johnny Unitas rolled up into one. He is the best ever and will lead us to the promised land, probably with like 45 TDs-0 INTs.

Does that make you feel warm in your tummy, to have other people on the internet agree with you? I hope so, I sincerely do.

So you want a QB who hasn't taken a college snap and has been running 3rd string to start a game less than 2 weeks away? Mett will get his turn but right now the best option is Lee and that's just the way it is

quote:Eh, maybe the coaches.
i dont think anybody has an accurate view of either quarteback as of late
Like I said earlier, a lot of the playbook/ practice time will be trashed if LR is right.
This isn't a good thing.

most of you guys would make terrible coaches. you make excuses for everyone's mistakes and place the blame on a bad call. some people just f up at times. any passing play has multiple reads, options, and checkdowns. it is up to the qb to make the correct one and put his team in an advantageous position.

Interesting video to prove your point because he did get us into that mess....although that 3rd and 4th quarter made me think that he was going to be a good one.....still could be too.

I don't think it will be so much of the playbook as opposed to just more of the option aspect of it. I imagine we'll be seeing more PA/quick throws as opposed to options/roll outs.
You are correct on losing a lot of practice time with all the plays geared towards JJ's run threat.
This is a big test for the offensive coaching staff as a whole. I think it'll really show what kind of staff we have, if they can get adjusted to Lee starting and get what needs to get done in 2 weeks...

the love affair people have with these two is astounding. Neither is very good. I don't think you lose much with one over the other...
