Not true bro I knock all of our coaches when they deserve it. The only one that I didn't was Arnsparger because I was too young to understand a lot of it. And of course Skip.

You know i have love for you, red, and, alttiger. We dont always agree but your positions are logical, thought out and you clearly understand what youre seeing when watching games.

Same here brotha, everybody has bias no matter how hard we try to keep them subdued and I have mine. See I like Les overall philosophy, pound the ball shorten the game and play defense, my problem with him was clock management, situational stuff and personnel decisions mostly. His trouble with the passing game to me was more about the qbs he recruited if Hedve had Etling type qbs every year I'll bet Hedve won another title and beat Bama a few more times.

His most glaring flaw was his inability to see which qb would translate and be successful in a prostyle. I wish Lee had had a decent qb coach in his 1st 2 years. To this day he has one of the quickest releases in lsu history. No wasted motion.

So what youre saying is you dont give Saban credit for his titles at lsu?

Its where it LL started...

OU HATE Saban and LOVE MILS...

Also, if lsu was so set for success in 2005 why did the best coach of our generation loses 3 games in year 5?

I want to here FACTS on why LSU suvked so bad in 2008...

I thank Saban for making LSU cool again for LA recruits and bringing a national title to lsu. I'm just consistent. The poster I responded to doesnt give miles credit for his 1st 3 seasons at lsu because of Saban's players. So I applied HIS logic to all lsu coaches, even Saban. I'm sorry you can't understand that.

Probably because we had to kick off the 2007 SECCG game mvp qb and start a redshirt freshman in lee.
We also lost the heart of our defense in Dorsey and Steltz( 2 AA) and the heart of our offense(Flynn, hester,Doucet).

It's amazing that 8 wins is the seasons you call sucking so bad. You just further prove you haven't been a lsu fan that long.

It's getting old explaining elementary level football to you. One time I spent 2 pages trying to convince you what an individual record is in cfb.

But to your original point....

I hate Saban at bama. I had nothing but love for him at lsu.

If in 11 years Ed Orgeron has one of the most accomplished tenures in sec history and lsu history and we have a portion of lsu fans shitting on his tenure and his accomplishments, I'll be doing the same thing that I do when people shite on miles and his tenure.

The thing I hate about Miles the most Rick...and this really chaps my arse...is that he had to be SHOWN the door. He couldnt or wouldnt figure out on his own that he was floundering and losing the fanbase. He wouldnt change and that stubborness cost us games in the end.

He could have rode into the sunset a hero but chose to exit disgracefully.

I'm gonna call bullshite Red.

He may have rode off into the sunset a hero to some, but there's way too many posters here on the rant that have disliked the guy from day one. He would have been vilified on here no matter what he had accomplished.

The guy was in a no win situation. I hope Orgeron isn't treated the same way.

I don't think ppl viewed him as a villan I think some thought of him as incompetent or underachieving but villan is a little strong. If Hedve gone the Bobby Bowden route and let his coordinators call the game he could've gone down in the same breath as Bowden or Paterno (minus the scandal of course). Miles was a great representative and great with the media he was just too controlling and head strong. If he would've been able to allow Cam or whoever to do for the offense what Chavis did on defense he'd still be here and he wouldn't have lost as much of the fanbase as he did.

It's cute watching you try to turn football ignorant opinions into trolling.

Miles came in and took over a top notch program and kept it going pretty well... but it got real bad after 1/9/12. That is a fact.....

Saban's tenure at lsu= 16 losses 12 conf losses
Miles last 5 full seasons=15 losses 12 conf losses and you.

There are 3 teams in the sec that won 10 games 4 out of 5 years between 2011-2015.

There are 7 programs in all of p5 football that have won 10 games 4 out of 5 years(2011-2015

once Niles was fired, the team just looked more ready to play and looked great doing it....

The hypocrisy is mind blowing.

So now that Miles is gone, it's considered,"looking great" when you struggle against the 2 best defenses in the sec?

You already know the answer to that.

Of course not, however you and PJ start going at each other in every thread the two of you post in. PJ sees you post, you see him post, and it all starts anew.

The two of you have said everything you can possibly say in this thread and all the countless other ones.

Whatever the thread was supposed to be about turns into a 25 page fight between the two of you.

Yeah he only took lsu to 2 title games.
Since 1960 no lsu head coach has more sec titles than Miles.
He is 1 of 2 lsu coaches to win an AP national title.

" you missed his point"

His point was stupid and it's not surprising to me that you couldn't recognize that fact.

Explain one thing to me. If it was so freaking easy to average 10 wins in a season playing a SEC West schedule for the last 10 years, then why couldn't any other SEC team do it?

It's amusing that some LSU fans seem so eager to discredit LSU accomplishments. No one is saying that winning 10 games in the year should receive some special award , But it speaks well to the winning consistency a program was able to maintain in a very competitive college football conference when you consider that no other SEC program was able to do the same.

I suppose that if winning 10 games a season doesnt mean shite, then from now on LSU expectations should be 12 wins a season. Right? That's not my expectations, but it surely must be yours.

I disagree. There have been plenty of people that have posted that they were against Miles from day one. If I remember correctly, you yourself have said that very thing to me in a post last fall. And there are plenty of posters that have claimed that they knew he was a failure during the 2005 Tennessee game, or that he was a failure for losing two games during the 2007 season. The goddamn 2007 National Championship season! Jesus jumped up and down, somebody was going to be chosen to go the title game. Why is so hard to be proud of the team and the coaching staff for WINNING THE NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP? The list could could go on with the excuses some on here want to use to tear down what Miles did as the head coach.

Instead, all you hear from some of these people is how damn lucky LSU was to win the championships game, and you know as well as I that EVERY team that goes to the NC game has some lucky breaks to get there, and that any coach in America could average 10 wins per season at LSU. shite, some of these clowns even boast that they could have done better than Miles while he has here.

And when someone posts his career record and accomplishments as head coach, they dismiss it and point to the last couple of years. Yes, the last couple of years were rough, and yes, Miles has no one to blame for the way he was let go but himself, but some of the LSU football "fans" totally ignore the 114 wins and the way the program was run "fairly incident free." He represented the University well, but it didn't seem to be enough for some on here.
