Ok the 2015 team went against just as crappy defenses as last years team under coach O. Any team that had a pulse on defense shut down the 2015 offense..... and I have said over and over that the Florida loss was on coach O.... there is nobody else to blame....

Plus you bash coach O for the Florida and Bama games yet say that he was an interm coach and that it proves nothing about his coaching ablilities....

Dont lump me in with that crowd... I know reality and that LSU won't win every game.... but I will not drool over a coach that has been fired and bash the new coach ..... Miles had many flaws yet there is one particular poster that will never admit that... and anytime someone brings up any of Miles flaws he will call you names like a 10 year old that got kicked out of the sandbox....

Sure you do!

The LSU offense was "putrid" is just one example of your reality.

Pj I'm not lumping you in with anything.. but EVERY. SINGLE. THREAD. turns into a complete fricking pissing match between two 'sides' who will never win this perpetual argument. I'm just tired of it. Y'all literally have left no stone unturned - what else could you possibly debate?

Miles' time here is done. It's over. Let's enjoy the past accomplishments while banging our heads over the screw ups. However, in the end, I feel like everyone should be thankful that the program is still in the condition it's in - there are 100 other teams in the country who would switch places with LSU

Enough is enough

I get your point... I understand what LSU football means to its fans.... it's a passion unmatched.... the past is the past... we sucked in the late 90's, and then Saban came and put us where we all wanted to be.... people hated him when he left because of why he left..... Miles came in and took over a top notch program and kept it going pretty well... but it got real bad after 1/9/12. That is a fact..... however most people that go to an LSU game want to see some kind of excitement.... that was NOT happening with Miles the last few years.... once Niles was fired, the team just looked more ready to play and looked great doing it...... now can they keep it up????? We will soon find out......

Top 10s
1) Miles had the top paid coaching staff in the Nation-Can't argue?
2)Miles had PERHAPS the best coaching staff in the Country -I'll go better than top 10, TOP 5
3)Miles had a top 5 fertile recruiting ground with no instate competition, yet still manage to alienate N Louisiana, saying they felt unappreciated and ignored by LSU. Which Saban and rivals said THANKS!!!
4)Miles was AT best a top 20 Coach, AT ANY POSITION. He was a TE coach for Dallas, TEs never developed here! Miles was a lineman, how many dominate OL prospects we put in pros.
With the staff Miles assembled if he would have only stayed home on Game Days!!LoL what could have been

No reason now that we shouldn't win the west and be top four.

Could have said that EVERY year with Miles but look how he fked the pooch. Yet youre stupid enough to expect O to fix what ails this team in his first full season. You are dumber than i thought. We're still grossly deficient at QB nimrod....cant you see that?

RTR- that makes to much sense, that's way over his head. Also Orgeron is recruiting Tackles to play their position instead of guards, TEs will now play their position instead of an OL. Needs a little time to bring in and develop his personnel that fits this system. He's going to do fine

These ppl are putting these ridiculous expectations on O just so they can attack him and praise their hero Elmer Fudd. It's unreasonable to expect him to make the playoffs with a below avg oline (Miles fault) replacing the greatest running back in school history, both tight ends and 2 of the top 3 Wrs along with 7 new starters on defense. Of course the rest of us are hoping to win every week and are excited that we are building towards something great at LSU but to expect an undefeated season is insane. What's more important is the quality of play maximizing our talent and not having to deal with the weekly incompetence on the sideline.

So you're saying he didn't make great adjustments?

I'm saying you can't tout those great adjustments and then shift the blame to miles when those adjustments arent working against better defenses.
quote:

Well you keep forgetting that O took over mid-season. Is there really any way to completely revamp the offense in October?

There is a huge gap between revamping an offense and using the same gameplan everyone knows will fail against Bama.
quote:

But can you at all comprehend the fact that O was able to set several offensive records against teams that Miles most likely would have severely struggled against?

Severely struggle? When did miles teams struggle against teams with run defenses in the triple digits?

Youre again touting those offensive adjustments and in the same breath put the blame o miles for the bad performances.

Oh the narrative has changed so quickly. Just 9 months ago miles was vastly underachieving with all this talent and now there is a problem with the talent. Posters like you and vm have repeatedly said Miles was the reason for not being more successful.

Wow. So now expecting 10 wins is a rediculous expectations?

I'm pretty sure you didn't have this stance in 2014 where we had been gutted by the draft eligible juniors.

Agreed. The best coach in cfb with by far the best talent in cfb, loses every year. Expecting an undefeated season is nonsense.

Did you miss the Florida game?
Now that miles is gone is it no longer on the HC when the offensive players look lost on critical plays?

Wow. For months youve been saying Ed Orgeron does have a hand in the offense and when I attribute had offensive out puts to him, you want to bring up he was an interim coach?

I'm not the one giving him credit for the offense. Yall are. If you give him credit for the good you have to blame him for the bad.

I know. The difference is you claimed 2015's offense against crap defenses means nothing and he you tout it for Coach O.
You've literally said the what we do against bad teams means nothing if you're bad against the good teams.

Those juniors were smart...as were any juniors who abandoned ship under Miles. Who could blame them? They saw what the rest of us saw. They knew they weren't going to win jack shite with Miles at the helm and decided to go for the $$$. I dont blame them a bit.
