thought so. i was being nice. I had heard through the rumor mill that la'el was being blackmailed by her or her family, not sure. This was from a pro la'el source... my rebuttal was wouldn't that make it more of a motive then? I wonder if these questions involved maybe contact from her family and what that whole shenanigans was about.

La'el had a sexual relationship with the woman, she likely told him she was pregnant and the child is his (whether that is true we don't know), he might have felt she was lying and trying to get a check out of him, he didn't want to be bothered with her and cut off communication with her. I'm not saying it's right but it happens a lot. And, the woman goes and tells everyone she can especially her family the child is La'el's. So, her family looks at him as a bad guy and especially after the woman comes up dead. The family is telling the cops La'el is behind this. Even if the child was La'el's that doesn't mean he has anything to do with her death. Furthermore, we don't know anything about this woman. Who says La'el was the only man she was sleeping with?

I'm sure her phone records have been thoroughly combed through at this point, along with all other known electronic means of communication she had. If there were any reason to merit it from her records, they've probably subpoenaed his records by now.

I don't think ruling someone out is common, especially when he/she is that close to the situation. Police have nothing to gain by publicly ruling someone out.

They would have subpoenaed phone records a long time ago and it would have answered a bunch of questions. IMO BRPD isn't all that competent.... like the time they took all of Jefferson's shoes to take DNA samples because of a bar fight.
