So there are currently no suspects, so he obviously can't be one, but he's the one getting what appears to be much of the police's attention.

He's had one interview. One. How does that even appear to be getting much of the polices attention. Just because the media has been talking about it for a week doesn't mean the police have. Hell, they waited several days before even talking to him. Some of you people are ridiculous.

It's obious the cops think he's involved but they obiously can't prove it. This could linger for years. Guess LC if he involved can move on and hope a NFL team signs him any way.

because they spoke with him once after over a week?

hes getting the bulk of the MEDIAS attention at this point, which is a whole different thing.

What have the police done to make you think it's so "obious" that LC is involved? Aside from the one interview they had with him this morning?

So this meeting cleared nothing up. BRPD has to send a statement clearing LC of any involvement

No they don't. They are only worried about solving a homicide.

Some of you guys are either just flat out paranoid and/or lack complete common sense.

Because he's the only one we know about. I'm sure police have met with multiple people by now, but Collins is the only one people care about.

Fact is we don't know who all they've met with and what other persons of interest they have. Maybe he's one of 50. Maybe he's one of 5. So perhaps my "much of the police's attention" is overdoing it. But typically even non-famous individuals names' are leaked in situations like this even before they're arrested. It's a double-murder of a woman and an unborn baby for crying out loud.

And again, if you believe this is just some completely "non-threat" interview like they ones they might conduct with an elderly neighbor or a co-worker (asking if she seemed stressed or said she was being threatened or something else like that) I don't know what to tell you. This would have been played very differently if he was not being viewed as a possible suspect.

Because there was a witness that gave a description of the shooter and it wasn't Collins (both voice and build). Also zero communication between the two since September. There was no communication between Collins and anyone else discussing the crime or committing the crime. So maybe all the crime scene specialists on this site can give it a rest.

Ok. Why didn't they come out and say they only wanted to interview him for informational purposes and that he wasn't even being considered a potential suspect? Why couldn't his lawyers make that case to the NFL with potentially millions at stake?

I'm not smearing this kid and don't have any reason to believe that he's that kind of person, but I don't understand how anybody can't see that the police at the very least needed to talk to him to rule him out--meaning he was a person of interest.

And they have yet to rule him out.

They pretty much did say it was for informational purposes.

They also said he was not a suspect. They will never say anyone will never be considered a potential suspect however.
