Coaching doesn’t make up for your star player twisting her ankle and going cold

Mulkey will retire soon. I don’t think she’s here two more years.

Yup Iowa did lsu like they did South Carolina last year. Begged them to take the open jump shots and made everyone defend the post. They knew LSU couldn’t keep up with them shooting wise.

Fair criticism to point to how the guarded Clark.

But, in the end, Morrow played poorly. She was a mismatch and didn't take advantage of it. HVL shot poorly. Angel got hurt. That's what cost LSU the game.

I think Kim will be retiring much sooner than anticipated. She’s done it all. Might be time for her to seriously consider it. Really would not fault her if she shuts it down after next season or season after next.

Clarks 3 point shooting and LSU has no 3 point shooters! That is the difference in the game!

Yes it does when that player gets hurt and yet you still allow them to take 21 shots and continue to force it inside to them despite Iowa cutting off the passing lane

I know a lot of you WBB bandwagoners don't watch a lot of college basketball but come on.. it's not that hard to comprehend.

Like it would’ve mattered. She was hitting from Mars.

Looks like what happens when a 1 plays a 3. They were better. You have to score with them. We played well the first half, but the second half was all them. Congrats to them go win it all.

you're getting downvoted but you're not wrong.

Kim had a terrible game plan (or lack of) against Clark. Iowa has nothing else offensively, but we let Clark do whatever she wanted.

Really bad scheme from Kim.

Poor shot selection

I don't think this is true. LSU just couldn't make anything whether it be a layup, wide open 15 foot jump shot, free throw. It was probably the worst shooting game for LSU all season. If they shoot 33-40% in the 3rd quarter instead of the 19% they did then LSU wins.

And the gameplan should have started and finished with only feeding Reese down low. I thought for sure HVL would have been benched too , but oh well

Poa should've started on CC, HVL should've NEVER been allowed to defend her. FJ should've picked up the defensive assignment in the 3rd quarter and LSU should've begin switching on all screens in the 4th quarter.

Mulkey was severely out-coached! HVL is the biggest disappointment of the tournament on LSU's squad. Her defense has been nonexistent all season and it wasn't going to improve guarding the likes of CC.

The PG "experiment" was an EPIC FAILURE!!!!
