Agreed. When we would double Clark she'd dump it off to the open teammate. There's really no answer for her hitting 27' contested 3s, you just have to accept it and rebound the misses. We were awful at put-backs last night; there was a sequence where we got our own miss and missed 2-3 more layups. Can't do that against a team like Iowa.

Yes you got to guard her when she gets off the bus. The ultimate undoing was poor shooting. Never able to utilize underneath game after Angel got hurt. I will say we should have tried something different to slow Clark down defensively, box in one, defenders, something to make rest of team beat us.

LSU had 19 more fg attempts and lost by 7. They lost because they could not make shots. Clark was always going to get hers. Same as last year.

I eonder what's the difference between the baseball team and the women's basketball team. Both won nattys last season. Both underperformed this season. But for some reason when it's the ladies team we blame the team and when it's the baseball team we blame the coach

Can't really get out coached when the girl was hitting from half court. Plenty of times there was someone on Clark and she just shot it over them. She was 9-20 from 3 so it's not like they didn't play any defense.
LSU couldn't shoot, period HVL was brought in to play PG and add a shooter and she was dreadful at both. Reese can't shoot from 8ft out. LSU is a team that needs to play inside and instead tried to play midrange/3 with Iowa. That 1-15 stretch ruined the game for LSU.

I mean Kim has 4 championship to JJ/ one so she has built 2 programs.
But realistically, I think it’s not really fair to either team or coach.
Baseball lost an insane amount of talent and experience. You could argue jay should have done more in the portal, but he it was a matter of bringing in almost an entire team.
Mulkey did do more in the portal but it just didn’t fit.

Dude, you are seeing what you want to see. Both players and coaches get blamed. Nobody wins championships every single year.

This to me was way more telling than our inability to "stop" Clark's 28ft bombs. You get 4 shots to layup and miss them all...and then have Iowa convert on the other side...that's the recipe for losing basketball games.

So with your coaching acumen, it's extremely easy for a short handed team to play full court press the entire game? Wow! The dolts that think they know how to coach astound me.

I don't agree that the Lady Tigers underperformed. In fact, when you take into consideration the shite they had to deal with, I think they did very well.
The baseball team is another matter. They are a complete dumpster fire.
