You think that was a coaching decision?

Then he went 33-6 including a ship.

I TOTALLY agree he had to go and it should've happened sooner, but he deserves credit for his accomplishments as LSU HC

What's sad is a 5 year old game gets people so worked up.

I turned the channel after CD made the FG. It was awesome!

Watching the ‘05 UT game was all I needed to know that we no longer had a great coach.

just watched the 2012 Bama game. we left so much points out there. JC copeland stupid penalty after Hill's run. and then 2013 JC copeland fumble
on goal line on opening drive.

I remember mett being on fire and he didn’t let him win try and win the game instead he played for the Fg and it backfired. Mett was connecting with every throw. And on a 3rd and medium they run the ball and gets stopped.

Orgeron will probably never sniff a 2014-type game vs Alabama

Not so fast. I think Orgeron has actually learned from his experience while Les couldn't (or wouldn't) be taught any new tricks.
Orgeron's recruiting is closing the talent gap with Bama. He's changing the program in may ways: analysts etc. He knows we have to get better on the LOS but more importantly, he realizes that you can't play conservatively against Bama (or any other teams).

Since the win in 2011, Miles' teams played two competitive games vs Bama. He took HIS best team into a title game and was humiliated far worse than O's 29-0 loss.

WTF?

Defense lost that game, baw, 1 tackle in bounds and we win, a little bit of pass coverage and we win,

No bs penalty and we win.

Also. The game was already lost. All O did was try to save our dignity and keep us from laying a goose egg. I've got no issue with retaining our dignity. Now we get to listen all off season about how we can't even score just because we missed the 3.

A = LSU winning % vs Alabama when coached by Miles
B = % of games vs Bama when LSU scores at least 1 point since Miles’ departure

A > B

From 2014 on Les really wasn’t a great recruiter either. He ran up the score with a bunch of 4 star DBs, WRs he never threw to and running backs. By 2017 our DL and OL had no depth and got pushed around by Troy. He also could recruit linebackers

Yes, but also did you notice that they go to commercial with 2:40 left and come back at 1:07 after V. Alexander penalty. Pretty convenient to skip that 1:30 most critical of game time on the broadcast.

Conspiracy, SEC/SEC network/Tom Ritter, nah..... nothing to see here

It’s nice to see at least one person in this abomination of a thread knows WTF he is talking about.

So much cringe in here. Love all the UT truthers, “I knew in game 2 the guy that was about to go on a 75-17 run with 2 SEC titles and an NC was a terrible coach!!!!”

Oh and the “saving our dignity” guy with a 4th quarter FG down 29-0

Didn’t realize O had you guys working on the weekends during the offseason

Clemson bowl game he didn't call a timeout until he had let 20+ seconds run off that could have allowed them the chance to win it, ole miss (well, it was a total f up) and Tennessee the next year(thank goodness T-Bob hiked the ball and Derek Dooley was equally in disarray as a coach as Miles is). Miles was too much of a "fan" instead of being a coach and constantly thinking the game through as it unfolded.

I was there in 2012, we played so well until we prevented ourselves to win. Allemand misses a FG then the TJ Yeldon screen pass.....yuck!

The unsportsmanlike conduct call killed us late in the 4th.

Brought the ball from the 6 to the 21.

I haven’t been back to Tiger Stadium since.

After Bama beat us in the championship game Bama started loading up on both sides of the line while we just loaded up on wrs and cornerbacks. That is where Bama started to dominate us from that point on and coach O is trying to reload on those positions. We are doing better on the dline but oline depth is not there yet. He better get it right on next year’s class.

This may be the most succinct, accurate thing I've ever read on this board.

As you are aware, that is not a quick-fix type of deal.

I was a fan of Les, but when you look at some of these past games we lost and we won you just go, how the hell did we actually do as well as we did under him! I honestly believe he is the worst clock manager in the history of college football!!!

This.

Also, paging Rickdaddy
