We have been mediocre 2 times in his 11 seasons.

Why is ballcaster melting?

If Les can't win the SEC next year he has to go.

Ah, frick it. Just beat Alabama. I don't care about the rest of the schedule. Go 1-12 for all I fricking care. Just beat Alabama.

If the team is 11-1 with a loss to the SECW champ, it's not "bust".

Really, why are we holding him to any standard at all? We just need to look at this like it's a 90's sitcom, filled work hijinks, catch phrases, and goofy characters. He's a paid entertainer at this point.

Coaches salary is 9th best in the country. We haven't finished in that area in the last 4 years. Need to finish there in 2016, and I don't think that's unreasonable.

Accusation of melt, followed by obvious melt. Y'all got right back into bossy pants mode within 72 hours. Miles stays. Nobody cares what you people have to think.

Not unreasonable, but in fairness, there has been a top ten finish in the last four years. Here's to more.

No, it's sorta the opposite of that.

Only in the Harris poll in 2012. Not in the AP or UPI that year and in none of the other years in any of the 3 polls.

ballsling is gonna break you in half, and use your bones for toothpicks. You're gonna regret ever crossing him!

Btw, my favorite melt is American cheese, the only cheese worthy of a melt.

or at the very least 2 loss minimum and being competitive in those games with a vastly improved offense

This^^^.
Setting an ultimatum of an SECW title is ridiculous. If it were that easy, everyone would be doing it. Saban operates on a different level than the rest of the college football world. It's a fact that people just have to accept. So many factors, including a bit of luck, go into putting together a championship season. Notre Dame is a perfect example this year. Their 2 loss season is literally 2 plays from being an undefeated season. It was the same way in Mett's final year here - that Georgia game could have gone either way, and if we win there and get a couple other breaks it's a different season.
Being in the hunt late in the season, with a legit run every few years is all anyone should ask for. Anything less is ludicrous, and one simply has to look at college football history to see that (unless your thoughts are clouded by an outlier like Saban). As I said in another thread, how many SEC coaches in the modern era have won more than one national championship?
I am grateful that Les has won 1, played for another, and has the talent in place to make another run next season (with a top rated recruiting class to follow).

They also lost their starting quarterback and were down to their 3rd string RB this weekend. And they still played like beasts.

I get what you're saying but Brian Kelly is looking like a top 3 coach right now.

Right - but even though he's a top 3 coach, they still lost 2 games and are out of the hunt. People complain about how we loss to Bama, but we've seen what happens when they let Harris air it out. It would have been no different against Bama. I don't like the way we lost, but I think it was a case of young players believing the hype of their #2 ranking, then getting shell shocked. After the Bama loss, they lost confidence - especially Harris. I thought he was brought along brilliantly this year leading up to the Bama game. After that loss, he regressed - big time. He'll be a different QB next year as a result.
If Harris continues to progress and we get Franks back or a comparable replacement, Les rights the ship. If we don't bring in a good QB recruit this year, we face a similar road to the one we've traveled the past couple years.

If we lost Fournette, Harris, and Guice and only lost 2 games next year, I'll draw up Les's contract extension myself.

Yes. This is the magical year the miles supporters have been pointing to all along. He will be gone if he doesn't at least win double digit games.

Putting a specific number of wins or else doesn't seem reasonable. But if we finish outside the top 20 again then maybe it's time regardless of what HC is available.
