Well sure we'll have a great recruiting class, maybe even the best. But hey they're just freshmen so you can't expect much. Gotta give Les till at least 2018. I mean he's such a nice man and all.

Book it.

As a huge Miles supporter through the years, yes. If he can't get that 2014 class to Atlanta before the core goes pro, then his best days are behind him and it's time for a change. He deserved that chance with this group though.

While I was convinced all year that we were ahead of schedule and next year was our best chance, I fear that the past two weeks have drastically reduced his chances of rallying this team to a special season next year though.

Still, that is not and will not be an excuse. If Leonard Fournette never plays in an SEC Championship Game it will be time to hang up The Hat.

Even getting to Atlanta and losing will still merit a serious evaluation on how the season played out. If the offense and QBs continue to struggle, and we get to Atlanta with a loss or two because the West is down, I would still not be opposed to a change.

2 loss minimum and being competitive in those games with a vastly improved offense

I think this should get him fired. For a while, most fans have pointed to 2016 as being the season where we'll have our best shot at the SEC for a while. Les got his extra year, so if he can't get it done with an experienced team and a much more favorable schedule, then LSU needs to man up and show him the door.

Anything less should be unacceptable bc 2016 was the year to look forward to after all and we won't be young anymore.

SEC or bust seems realistic.

"Or bust" isn't on the schedule. It's on you to justify the "or bust" that you negs brought up.

well, why shouldn't it be a division title or bust kind of year?

your heisman contender is in his last year, you have a junior QB and a good portion of your offense coming back.

alot of you pumpers pointed to 2016 anyway, so why shouldn't it be a 'or bust' kind of year?

anything else would be a disappointment, no?

According to whom?

I haven't seen where Alleva told Miles that. He told him that he is the coach and I haven't seen anything officially that would make me believe that he will not be allowed to finish out his contract.

I know what I want and what you want, but it obviously isn't our decision.

Why would it be?

The players are to go to class and show up for practice and games. The coach is to do what his employer tells him to do. "Or bust" is nowhere in there. Nobody owes you zeroes anything not mentioned on your ticket stub.

Yep. 'Competing for championships' starts with the SECW.

At worst, a 6-2 SEC record is required to possibly win the division. Anything less will be more disappointing than this season.

Very doable if most of the draft-eligible players return. If most of those leave, it will be quite a bit tougher.

11-1 or better is where the 2016 team should end up. Too hard to determine what that record will buy you.

2 losses and if keep him, if those two losses were tight games against good teams.

I never once said that. LSU completely screwed up and just proved they couldn't go out and get their guy. This will happen regardless of wen Les is done. So we are screwed either way.

It would be an unforgivable travesty if arguably the best college running back of the past 20 years leaves LSU with nothing to show for it.
