He went off on Rodney Harrison. Everyone should be able to get behind that.

Cliffs, Mawae settled scores against all the guys he beat in the pros that now say he is a "dirty" player. He called them all out and said that they are bitter because they can't beat him and he'll rant about it wearing a gold jacket in Canton. Almost dropped the f-bomb.

You must have no clue about Mawae then. This guy bleeds purple and gold. FWIW, I will run through that wall as well with you after listening to him talk about how you should play the game. He took offense to Marcel Wiley and Harrison calling him one of the top 3 dirtiest players in NFL history. Maybe Miles should invite him to have a sit down with our offense lineman!

That was a classic go and listen!

I didn't think it was all that bad. Basically said Pocic has 1) never played a nose that talented 2) faced a defensive scheme that absolutely destroys what he excels at as a center. He talked about how the nose playing straight up is one of the most challenging things a center can face because you have no space to generate momentum, and if the nose is athletic at all its almost always a terrible matchup.

Players he mentioned, Willie McGinnest, Merriman, Zach Thomas, Neil Smith, Derrick Thomas, Rodney Harrison, Marcellus Wiley, a guy he forearmed in the face as a rooke (can't remember but Kev said he was an All Pro, turns out it was Ray Childress), Tedy Bruschi, Albert Haynesworth, and a few others.

"If I could legally take you out, I would take that shot because I get to play against the No. 2 guy and he sucks otherwise he would be playing."

He's going to be in the pro football hall of fame. He's justified in thinking he was good.

Mawae is divisive due to his strong opinions but I've watched him interact with some players and the players all seemed to really like him. He's at least done some sort of meetings or education(likely about the nfl or being a professional) seminar for the team.

He is also impressive as hell in person. Talked with him for a few minutes and half an hour later I ran into him again and he addressed me by name Etc. I can definitely see why he was nflpa president.
