He is getting paid a bunch of money.

He has a star freshman quarterback for the next 3/four years ...

I don't know guys ...I think it's going to be hard to pull him.

I heard over weekend it was Jimbo who pulled back on LSU at the ninth hour..."terms were agreed to, LSU was sending their plan to get him"....then something changed

I guess I would have to ask myself as we fast-forward to the end of this season "why would Jimbo decide to come to LSU with such a loaded promising team where he is now?"

I think the biggest concern replacing Les Miles is ensuring that we upgrade. Coach Miles has held LSU to high standard in recruiting, clean program, producing NFL talent, being competitive every year, we just come up short and our offense is weak link. We have to feel we are getting an upgrade, that eliminates about 100 coaches in CFB...right? Let's be real..

this is tough deal... everything has to fall in place to get the right coach at the right time. Let's all hope for the best and GO Tigers

Biggest concern my arse. You could pull a coach's name from a hat and instantly upgrade our offense!

I wondered that when the rumor was going around last year.

ACC is Basketball league. Beating Boston College/Wake Forest/NC State/GA Tech/Duke/VA..gets boring. People at the top of their profession want to work and compete at the highest level they can.

Saban isn't going to coach forever.

Fisher is 14 years younger.

Could run the best football conference in the country.

Has been in Baton Rouge before, knows the landscape.

I swear to God I think about this everyday. If we somehow land Tom Herman I will have a tenure long chub.

That would be the easy part. Just getting a coach who could run even the most rudimentary form of a modern college offense would be a huge improvement.

Jimbo seems to have some character issues. I'll take Herman.

They are going to be killing teams with this QB if this first game is any indication. This guy stayed composed despite getting pummeled by defenders and with almost no running game for most of the first three quarters. He is super-tough, really accurate and he is fast.

The hilarious part is that this isn't even an exaggeration.

That would certainly be a damn strong hire, very capable, quality football coach that would fight like Hell for Victory.

He also plays in the ACC and really only has one team to compete with most of the time.

I want to change this narrative of positiger and negitiger. I am positive that once we grow a pair and fire miles, we will hire a great head coach to replace him. I am a positiger now! Positive that things will work out once we rid ourselves of miles once and for all.

He does but lsu would be just as successful if they played in the acc.
The acc has 2 powerhouse programs right now( fsu and clemson). Imo its the worst p5 conf in cfb.

Our offense isnt simplistic. The spread offenses in cfb are far more simplistic than our offense. We run plays oit of more formations and have a wider variety of plays. Those great oregon offenses ran the same exact play 50% of the time.
