I heard over weekend it was Jimbo pulled back on LSU at the ninth hour...

He got greedy. Knew LSU was in a tight spot and his agent played the game.

I guess I would have to ask myself as we fast-forward the end of this season why would Jimbo decide to come to LSU?

There are a few reasons why it would make sense to be here. Won't discuss them here though, rumors and all of that stuff.

I would take Herman over Jimbo FWIW.

The biggest concern replacing Les Miles is ensuring that we upgrade.

Kliff Kingsbury
Major Applewhite might be a great option if we can't get Tom Herman.

Idk about Lincoln Riley though, Oklahoma had issues against Houstons def.

What's the chance Jim Tressel would leave Youngstown State for another go?

Imo its the worst p5 conf in cfb.

I don't think so. They have Florida State, Clemson, North Carolina, and Louisville. Pretty damn solid. I think the Pac 12 may be the weakest at this point in time. Which is crazy because they were thought of as the easily the 2nd best conference behind the SEC.

He is in a much better position with FSU to get into the playoffs every year than he would face in the SEC. I think he'd be crazy to leave.

He also plays in the ACC and really only has one team to compete with most of the time

The ACC was 11-3 in Power 5 play this weekend. The SEC? 7-7.

Damn, forgot all about that dude. Another guy nobody has mentioned is Charlie Strong. If Texas gets impatient and they let him go then I'd love to have him.

North Carolina

2012=8-4
2013=7-6
2014=6-7
2015= 10-3

Louisville

2011=7-6
2012=11-2
2013=12-1
2014=9-4
2015=8-5

These 2 are far from consistently good programs. Especially NC. They have 1 top 15 finish in 5 years.

They are going to be killing teams with this QB if this first game is any indication. This guy stayed composed despite getting pummeled by defenders and with almost no running game for most of the first three quarters. He is super-tough, really accurate and he is fas

I've been talking up Francois since he was a senior in high school. His calm demeanor and accuracy were the main things I noticed about him when he played in the high school All American game. Guy came in and guided his team like 80 yards down field with like 3-4 passes, easy, effortless, and I knew then that he was going to be the next great at FSU.

Our offense isnt simplistic. The spread offenses in cfb are far more simplistic than our offense. We run plays oit of more formations and have a wider variety of plays. Those great oregon offenses ran the same exact play 50% of the time.

Our offense is simplistic and basic. You are thinking about a playbook. The offense we actually run is complete bullshite. Our QBs need to know all this complicated shite just to toss dive and bomb the sidelines.

I have to admit and agree with you about Brohm. Although Herman would be the obvious first choice, Brohm did come to my mind today.

Not compared to the spread. Most spread teams dont run a huge variety of plays.
Our offense asks qbs to know more formations and more personel packages. We asks qbs to read defenses while taking 3,5,and 7 step drops.
A prostyle offense is far more complex than the spread offense.

This just isnt true. We run our of far more formations than spread teams. You think we run the same plays over and over? Our repetitiveness is nothing compared to spread team that may run the same play 50% of the time.

which is mind boggling because we take spread qb's from high school and try to turn them into pro style guys.
