Richt wont do anything at Miami until they start pumping money into the program.

This isn't a bunch of ifs, you just don't have any foresight. I read your posts and you are always thinking about the past. The ACC has already been second in NFL draft picks, and now the teams actually have better coaches.

Louisville will finish with 10 wins this year, and one of Miami, VT, or UNC will also finish with 10 wins giving the conference four 10 win teams (with Clemson and FSU).

I'll pass on gundy, we need as sure of a get as possible to make sense to pay the buyout and huge salary it's going to take.

I'm saying you have to get jimbo (prob a long shot), herman, dabo, somebody like that.

What's les buyout this year? 11m?

So Holgerson let somebody do a better job with his players the year after he left.

SMH.

You can take Holgerson's 6 to 7 wins at West Virginia and stick them up your arse.

We are talking about a HC hire. I have stated my case quite well that Gundy has did a great job with Holgerson's offense since 2010.

47-18 since Holgerson left

27-25 last 4 years for Holgerson

I think Holgerson offense needed Gundy a lot worse than vice versa.

holgorsen being a puss poor HC has nothing to do with Gundy being a good or bad HC

Gundy has won ten games twice since 2012 and neither time did he win his conference. He would be a complete let down at LSU.

Dabo? Will likely be at Bama when Saban retires. Has ZERO incentive to leave Clemson otherwise.

We could still get Jimbo. He's perfect for the people down here. He's still my first choice over Herman, honestly.

It was never open last year either. The last time it was open was back when he was our OC...

He would've had a good thing going here had Alexander not stepped in.

At the state of the program corrently we can't afford to NOT hire a home run 5+ million a year coach. Should not even be discussed to hire a coordinator, or any unproven coach. I'd imagine the list is gonna be very short as it should be.

Our offense isnt simplistic. The spread offenses in cfb are far more simplistic than our offense. We run plays oit of more formations and have a wider variety of plays. Those great oregon offenses ran the same exact play 50% of the time.

Well, they are making plays, a lot of plays.

We don't make many...

you tell me what we should do?

Based on what I've learned it dang near did happen last year.

I guess what threw everything into a mess last minute was Jimbo apparently wasn't ready to make hte move.

terms were agreed to and basically LSU was sending a plane to pick up their new coach.

Cold feet? I don't know..maybe we got played but then Alleva apparently still wanted to fire Miles...but then then King stepped in and said "we can't do this".

So who knows, we may have been saved from a complete melt down looking for a new coach.

FWIW, Gruss posted yesterday that back when all this mess was going on "Herman's people reached out to LSU to get feel of interest".

Yes, but you don't fire him until you know you can land the guy you want, or Miles retires...

Doesnt mean anything.
Louisville and northe carolina are no consistent programs. The post you made are full of ifs. You dont call programs successful using the damn future. You use their recent history. North carolina has 1 decent season recently and its the same amount of losses you use to blast miles for.

Ha ha. Yeah this isnt a bunch of ifs. My god.

Miami hasnt won 10 games in over a decade but yeah they are a solid program.
Va tech hasnt had a season above 8-5 since 2011.
North carolina has 1 10 win season since 1997.

You blast miles and he has had more success than all these programs combined.

I love how you use unknown future to rank these programs. As it stands now the acc is the worse conf in cfb and they have 2 programs that are consistent. No amount of ifs change that.

That ship has sailed. I would rather have herman at this point anyway, but that is very unlikely to happen too. Things are probably going to suck for a while.

My biggest concern will be keeping Orgeron and Aranda when Miles is fired. The man was at a loss after the game. He is completely out of touch he really believes that offense should work.
