Even Miles said in press conference that they need much better play at the QB position, and the competition is back open.

Yeah hope you really don't believe that. How many times did miles say he was going to let harris come in and play this season? If memory serves me right he even said it before the bowl game as well. Jennings is the starter and think the only way he will lose it is injury or off the field issues but we have seen that doesn't even matter with some former qb

Anthony Jennings will be the starting QB when we take the field against McNeese. Les will have a want to provide Harris with playing time but circumstances will not properly present themselves to allow that to happen.

This is another one of those ridiculous Lesisms.

The idiot plays ULTRA conservative football and then uses the fact that he plays ULTRA conservative football as the excuse for not getting the other guy some reps.

There's always excitement and anticipation leading up to the start of each season. I can't see that happen next season if AJ is announced as the starting QB.

I can't imagine not attending LSU games but would really have to consider selling my tickets before wasting time watching Jennings attempt to lead again. You shouldn't lose five games with this amount of talent.

He's already become delusional, just like the previous abomination of a QB. Getting that Jefferswag "damn, I'm good" fantasy created by his head coach continuing to play him every down as he's stinking up the joint. He thinks his starting role is untouchable because it is. Hope all the pumpers are lined up for tickets to their midtier bowl loss between Christmas and New Years this time next year.

Honestly, if he's announced as the starter, it will be the worst I've felt going into a season since the Dinardo years.

I have very low confidence that BH will ever get a shot at being hte starting QB at LSU. I know I am not the only one that feels this way. It would not surprise me if BH transfers. If the does, we are screwed.

Is he as dumb with the playbook as people insinuate?

If so, what difference does it make?

The only school in the state that Jennings could actually be a starter at is Northwestern State. It's sad that he's the best that we have according to CLM

Screwed BADLY!!!!

Can you imagine if he transferred and then AJ went down in game 1?

That would turn next year into a macabre comedy.

I see us having Jennings play as starter next year and I would bet LSU will be very lucky to get 8 wins. From listening to radio after game report we may be losing some starters on the offensive line. A poor qb with a rebuilding offensive line spells major problems.

He and JJ both have the same "confidence" no matter what happens on the field and not matter how many times it happens on the field in many consecutive games. Amazing similarity.

regardless of what you think of Jennings "swagger", I personally like a confident QB, the article was dead on in all other aspects in regards to our offense and QB situation.

I don't mind that attitude, but man, at least he should preface it with something like, "I know I have a lot of work to do and need to improve a lot, but I will be starting next year".......the way he states it, it almost sounds like he has played well enough to ensure he keeps his starting job...which we all know he hasn't.

He actually explicitly said the exact opposite.

To be fair, he won the job this season over Harris and didn't do enough with all the opportunities.

Next year, we open with McNeese and not Wisconsin which provides enough opportunity to get Harris some game-time experience as the starter.

I also believe the defection of Chavis (knowing what you're going to get) puts greater emphasis on the need for a more productive passing game on the heels of a 4-4 SEC record. I think we could potentially be getting a DC as good or better, but I think it may take some time to gel with the new defensive philosophy. The only way to stay afloat is to open things up with the pass. 7-14 with safe throws simply will not get it done and Jennings will be a Junior next season.

He won't start, Harris will and I'll gladly accept a ban bet if anyone want to wager. Minimum post count > 10k

He'll start for the next couple of years. He won the job by default.
