Paul Mainieri’s final recruiting class is one of the major reasons we are having such a bad season. There’s what, 1 player from that 2021 class on this roster and I think that’s Dutton? Everyone else transferred and couldn’t play at the SEC level.

I assume this will get whacked as well, but really wanted to reply to the DVH lovers.

Uh, it didn't get whacked, it got moved to the correct board.

Agree he won't be fired in 25 if he has another bad year but if he doesn't clean house after this year and bring in players in 25 he will start 26 season on the hot seat.

Going forward Jay needs to build a solid foundation of LA players and use NIL to buy the missing pieces.

Why does he need to focus on LA players? Louisiana is outside of the top 5 of MLB players per capita. Building teams around Florida, California, Georgia, Mississippi, Arizona, AND Louisiana guys is what he needs to do. Stop with this Louisiana only bullshite I've seen far too much of it over the last few weeks. All because Gavin Dugas and Brayden Jobert were good 5th year players doesn't mean every LA kid will succeed at the next level. Last year's most played position players consisted of

1. Crews - Florida
2. White - Florida
3. Beloso - Texas
4. Morgan - Louisiana
5. Dugas - Louisiana
6. Jobert - Louisiana
7. Thompson - California
8. Pearson - Louisiana
9. Travinski - Louisiana
10. Jones - Texas
11. Milazzo - Louisiana
12. Kling - Pennsylvania

Most dependable ptichers

1. Skenes - California
2. Floyd - Georgia
3. Hurd - California
4. Shores - Texas
5. Edwards - Louisiana
6. Guidry - Louisiana
7. Cooper - California
8. Ack - Oklahoma
9. Herring - Texas
10. Coleman - Texas
11. (Grant Taylor) - Alabama

Less than half of your top contributors on the national title team were from Louisiana. Your top 4 players were from out of state. Get the best guys. Who gives a shite where they're from - especially in baseball.

He also needs to stop buying into his own hype and overthinking every damn decision on the field.
These are two separate things that have no bearing on each other whatsoever. When has Jay Johnson "bought into his own hype." By every single account, the guy wasn't leaving his hotel room during Omaha so he could stay in and recruit the portal.

If he has another year like this he’s gone. Simple as that.
It's not "simple as that." It's an idiotic, incorrect statement.

I’m not interested in DVH. The problem I see is that JJ don’t really have the hitters, and He can’t coach mall ball.
Look what Nick Mangione has done at Kentucky by playing small ball, running, and putting pressure on the defense.
Most of the top hitters LSU had were blessed at an early age, and not necessarily coached at LSU.

Yet have they won a title? Win a lot of regular season games and choke in the post season.

I think Skip lost at least 1 before he started a streak.

I literally said jay will be fine as long as he gets out of his own way.

Nature of the beast huh….. you think anyone can walk in here and win titles? It’s that easy?

Yea I do because I believe in LSU. Imagine that! I’m an LSU fan! Not a jay Johnson fan boy. He’s not the greatest coach of all time and he’s not some secret baseball whisperer like y’all were trying to push earlier this year. He’s a good coach who happens to coach the greatest baseball program of all time. Players come here for LSU not Jay Johnson lol. He’s a solid coach, I’m not denying that but if the program continues to look like this, you’ll see things take care of themselves.

DVH consistently had good/great teams. Last years natty was glorious, but I could really do without this Orgeron type roller coaster. NIL and the Wild West portal is a whole new world, let’s hope JJ is up to the task.

Y'all really can't handle one down season.
No, not like this season!

My competitive Nature and Spirit doesn't allow for it in LSU Baseball or any other LSU Sport.

All those that are OK and "Just Fine" ( ) with "Down Seasons" are weak fricking losers and lovers of mediocrity. (MA's)

With the overall stature of the program and available resources, there is absolutely no reason for the current dysfunction to be taking place........
