Does it matter? He came in last year and sucked arse too, right? He's just not a quality SEC quarterback. LSU has/had so many great receivers the past couple years and he couldn't hit anyone except the defenders. Just my opinion though. JJ has some talent. That guy will end up being an ALL-SEC quarterback within the next year or so. He can kill you with his legs, and he has the tools to be a great passing quarterback. Look at all the weapons he has. And put it this way, if JJ doesn't get hurt against Bama last year, LSU wins hands down. JL came in the game and..

Just my two cents. I hope JL becomes successful someday, i just don't think he'll start over JJ. The Tulane game just made me sick.

It's funny how when people point out Lee's individual failures, morons attempt to rebut the irrefutable by referencing team failures.

No matter what, who leads the team will always get the blame.

Why don't morons realize that there are ten other people on an offense?

Nobody forced Lee to throw an interception.

This is not even close to being the truth. For example I vivdly remember JoJo running a wrong pattern on one that went the other way. WR's make mistakes, coaches make mistakes, linemen make mistakes and allows plays to not develop such as those that depend on timing. How many drops BEFORE INT's were there. I remember several of those forcing 3rd and long situations.
The announcers were even saying this to be true.

Being part of an ineffective offense will never be solely a QB's fault. More to the point, there were much bigger problems with last year's offense than the QB.

If you want to use such words as irrefutable, please look it up first because you refutted your own opinion.

With all of that said, I believe JJ is the better QB of the 2. I do not believe either of them are winners. They BOTH now play to not make mistakes because of 2008. Who will you blame for that? Gary Crowton and Les Miles that's who.

More juvenile jibberish

Lee had basically the same team as JJ, and the one memory is 7 passes returned for TDs.

If each of those interceptions had resulted in tackles, then there would be no question as to who the starter should be.

Are we talking about the same 10 ppl who couldnt seem to tackle defenders on pick 6s that avg 43 yds per pick6?

Is that the team concept we're missing?
Almost exactly like that. Except that offensive players are expected to execute an offensive play every down. They aren't necessarily expected to execute an offensive play and than a defensive play. But yeah, you're getting close.

So now we can all assume that you will never, ever again reference the rank of the entire offense last year in trying to argue that Lee is better than Jefferson?

Because you would never be a moron, would you?

List the offensive players that left, that resulted in our 112th ranking?

let me tell you what matters or at least what is painfully obvious to me..
There are more people on here that the biggest compliment they can give JJ is to beat on JL.
Thats a fact... and its pretty fricking sad.

I dont give a shite what JL did two yrs ago.
I dont really care what JJ did last yr.
IMO neither one is much better than the other, they both have experinece now, no excuses to be 112th this season.

How many pics has JJ thrown? How many were returned for TDs? How did those offensive players stop the defenders?

And you want to call someone a moron

I dont have a prob with him.
nobody else did either his first two years.

a bad yr with a mediocre new qb and oline and all of a sudden people want to shoot the man... to me its comical.

LSU has some great WR's.. A great defense.. And some good running backs. Let's see if the QB can get the job done. If he can, LSU will contend for a NC.

Unless something has changed between his ears, then I don't know that changing his physique will help. He's always practiced well. He just hasn't played well in the big games and at big moments save for the Auburn game where he played well for a half. I don't know if making the decisions he's made that have caused the int's can be something that can be changed. I truly hope so and wish him well, but it's worrisome.

Its been repeated numerous times. Johnson & Helms leaving was bad enough, Ciron had a VERY disappointing year, most likely from an injury. Attrition forced us to throw young, experienced, and undersized lineman into the fire early and the result was what you saw. A dismal offensive line that couldn't pass protect or open up holes for the running game. Our rushing offense alone dropped 47 spots to 90th in 2009.

I have one question for everybody on this board. If LSU was down 10 points going into the 4th quarter against Alabama who would you want in the game at QB. I think JJ has the potential to have a great year, but up to this point in his career he has done NOTHING. If I had to chose between the 2 I'd most likely go with JJ, but JL could be very very very good if he got over his mental problems. Auburn 08 is a game to look at. He made several great throws with guys in his face in that game, and besides the pick 6 looked damn good. Also Miss St that year he looked very very good. He looked good in the Georgia game too besides the pick 6. We just didn't play any defense in 2008. I think if Lee gets a chance this year he's gonna surprise alot of people.

Dude, seriously. Losing 2 ppl was THE reason the off. dropped? C'mon. You cant be serious.

Except for the year we lost Russell, Bowe, Davis, Dyakowski, Brian Johnson, Vincent, Broussard, & Zinger. That next year was a disaster.

Oh wait, we won the BCS. Silly me. What could I have been thinking?

Did you not read what I said about Ciron? Or did you purposely leave that part out?

But yes, taking a handful of Olineman that were significant contributors last year and replacing them with undersized and inexperienced underclassmen tremendously hurt our offense.

Shocking I know. There is literally no point in even trying to discuss this shite with you. Good night
