Lee shows progression and JJ has not and that is fact.
I dont understand how anyone can think jj can take this team anywhere. he has shown no redeeming qualities as a qb. At least lee shows some potential.

If JL can get past the game jitters, I think he could do some serious damage..

I think we have a better chance of making noise with him than JJ...

It used to be the opposite, but after watching how we finished last year, it looks like JJ has stopped improving, while JL is seeing the feild and making quicker reads

JL has shown zero progression until today's scrimmage. Wait until he gets actual game experience before anointing him the league's most improved player.

This makes you look stupid.

i like jj but lee is performing better in practice according to the coaches and he gets rid of the ball quicker ad understands the offense better.. give the kid another chance

Do you remember how terrible Lee looked last season against La Tech?

He had a DECENT Spring game.

I think the point being made is that we all saw JJ lead us to the 112th ranked offense, along with the same number of losses that JLee had.

JJ also had an abysmal spring game.

So ppl are ready to say "eff it" Put JLee in. We expect him to make mistakes, but also to move the offense. We're ready to take our chances.

I'm not for handing the reigns over to Jarrett Lee, but at the same time, I don't see any improvement in JJ's progression as a QB, and that scares me because he can no longer play the youth card. Regardless of the pick six, I think JL's performance and presence is more like a quarterback.

That is progression is it not?

What redeeming qualities would you point out in JJ's game?

So the guy who is burned into fans memory for his ability to throw a pick six, throws a pick six and he shows you growth?

It was only one.

Looking good in a practice game is certainly improvement over looking absolutely (take a page from RobbBobb's book) abysmal in real game time.

He doesn't turn the ball over nearly as much as Lee does, and he can make things happen with his legs every once and a while.

I'm not putting down either QB, but you're trying to make it seem like Lee is better in every way over Jefferson which is definitely not the case.

This is my position exactly. I know Lee may be prone to throw the pick 6 but I'm willing to risk that to get the ball into the hands of our play makers and generate some consistent offensive production.

Im not saying that Lee is the next Drew Brees but i do think he is a better Qb than JJ.

Even you must admit that it is scary if this is the best thing you can say about a QB.

The JL supporters are willing to give him the starting gig because he can make things happen every once and a while.

Again, I'll be glad to let whoever is the better QB be the starting QB. At this point however, it's not clear who is the better QB.

I agree with this but from my point of view at this point in time i believe JL can help this team better than JJ.

RobbBobb- I think that it should be an open qb competition going into next fall (I think it should be an open competition for every position).

We need a qb who won't loose games for us. J Lee lost us multiple games two years ago, JJ just didn't do anything to win us games last year. I just see no reason to say right now that J Lee should start.

What reasons would you give for JJ starting? Not picking a fight or criticizing, just interested.
