I am not a Jarrett Lee homer or anything but in my humble opinion. If Jordan Jefferson is unable to play based on the incident. I hope and wish Jarrett Lee has a tremendous season. The guy stuck with us through a huge amount of advertisty. He was criticized after that brutal year of all the INT's for TD's. Lee could have easily transferred to a mid of the road team and started from Day 1 but he stayed loyal and road it out.
We need to get behind him.

He deserves our support!

You can sign up too on my bandwagon thread.

All BS aside I hope 12 gets the start and never looks back... kid deserves it, been nothing but class act since he's been here.

The job may now be JL's to lose. Good luck to the young man. Here's to hoping he proves all the doubters wrong.

think about it like this... if he dont play well, then the majority of fans get with they want anyways.

I would like for him to win the competion on the field vs JJ getting in trouble but again he may not be allowed to win it on the field.

Hopefully if Lee is the starter we get plenty of Mett reps too. I think Jarret might benefit from a series or two a half on the sideline if he was the starter kinda like Arnsparger did with Hodson!

What I fear is that if JJ is done and JL becomes the starter, you might as well rip out pages upon pages from the playbook. The playbook has been tailored to fit what JJ can do on the field. If this incident happened over a month ago, then adjustments can easily be made. But we are talking about 2 weeks from kickoff. We all know JL can't execute QB running plays.

I want JLee to be given an opportunity to start again, the guy deserves a chance. We have seen Jefferson starting for 2 years, I don't think he will improve, 15 of 25 for 100 yards in Thursday's scrimmage....You be the judge.

That's not the point. We have plays already in place for a running QB. These same plays were designed and implemented before any of these players set foot on the practice field. The coaching staff now have to take several steps back.

it's not that he deservers any special treatment. A lot of players aren't starters and still stick out there at the same school. There is nothing so special about that. But practice and scrimmage reports are that he is much improved and should be a big contributer this season. Regardless of who starts, i am so sick of these, so called LSU fans who seem to live to knock one QB, especially JJ, who also has given his all. Isn't it time just to be LSU fans and pull for whatever QB is in the game. But no one QB, or any player on the team, 'deserves ' anything. They have to earn it and the fans should be behind them.

Look at the Gator offense after it had to convert over to accommodate a QB that has the mobility of a statue. This could get ugly.

What is this obsession wth Lee?

ZACH All THE WAY! METT SHOULD HAVE ALLWAYS BEEN STARTER!

HAS POISE!

In reality JJ is going to start every game. Miles will not punish him severely for a fist fight.

I need to know which qb's threw the 2 int's in Thursdays scrimmage to figure out how I feel about all of this.

Y'all are acting like JJ would be missing an entire season. You think he'd get the boot after 1 incident?

we're going to run the ball anyways, not that big of a change. the vertical passing would be better with JL.
