He and his wife are writing their memoir about their life as strange bedfellows. Each had the following to say about the book:

"The heart of the book will be insights on culture and politics from two unique perspectives: Mine counterbalanced by one that is opposite and wrong," Matalin said in a statement issued by Blue Rider.

"I love my wife, my family, LSU football, the Nats, the Saints and politics," Carville added. "In this book I'll talk about 4 of those 6 things I'm an expert on."

He seems to always find a way to work in LSU. Gotta love him for that.

Disagree with his politics, but I'd love to buy him a drink.

Regardless of whether you agree with his politics, you gotta love how great of an ambassador of LSU the man is.

I remember the day after the 2007 title, Espn interviewed him and he called Lee Corso a blow-hard on live tv for saying Glenn Dorsey will injure his knee and won't finish the game vs Ohio st. That shite was funny.

Disagree with his political standpoint, but like the guy and a funny SOB.

He wrote a piece for Sports Illustrated after LSU won in 2007. It was one of the best descriptions of what it is like to be an LSU fan I have ever read. He just nailed it.

I find it really hard to dislike him. I always find myself disagreeing with him while nodding my head at the same time. I think he is one of the better Dem's for sure.

The only reason I'd ever want to take a class at Tulane would be to sit in on one of his Poli Sci lectures.

His rant on blowing up the Rose Bowl and Pete Carroll was a riot.

I met him at this breakfast place in New Orleans and told him exactly that.

I shook his hand and introduced myself and said I agree with your wife on politics and you on football.
He laughed
